Condiment King: This is where I watched my family die, Edward
Edward: Cowabummer
Imma say something I ain’t seen said yet.
Eddie wasn’t jealous at Buck and Tommy being together. But imagine you’re Eddie Diaz and your new great friend starts dating your longtime best friend and you love and support them but listen, it’s hard to know your place. He’s platonically third wheeling.
Y’all ever had two friends start dating?
It’s great! But also, it’s a little awkward at first. Dynamics shift.
So that’s my take!
they're gonna shoot me in the street like a dog for this one
Why was some murder victim in criminal minds listening to Thursday
peter losing his nephew is such a heavy hitting episode
the disconnect with cleo was so apparent before, and i think this is where they turn that tide.
and i get cleo's resentment, because peter is a very closed off man who needs a lot of space, and he hasn't treated her well. he shuts down under pressure, and losing his job and romano being an incredibly (like off the walls) racist bully boss has really been untenable, but i feel like cleo judges peter for the way peter internalises it. i just feel like they're not super well matched in general. the way they handle conflict just makes me think that in time, cleo will grow to resent him.
of peter's past love interests, carla continues to be such a disliked character for me. she lied about peter being reese's father, and she's been so combative ever since. she gets mad because peter doesn't want to circumcise reese, and retaliates by going behind his back to circumcise him! like wtf, she cuts off bits of her son's penis as some kind of retaliation. and the whole thing about how having a foreskin is dirty when peter has one. and it goes on and on, she blames peter for roger's job when ofc peter is going to fight them moving to the other side of the world?? and then equates peter moving an hour away by plane for the same thing.
like to me it sounds like out of the two men she thought could be the father, she chose the surgeon because he has job security, and a family that would care for her son. but when she meets roger, she regrets telling peter about the baby. peter becomes a deterrent instead of an asset. but maybe i'm too harsh on her. maybe she was more with peter and thought he was the likely father. but she is written as such an abrasive and reactionary character. i wish they wrote the black women on the show better.
"you think i ain't fucked a mannequin before?!" incredible. no i do not. any such fancies i may have entertained have been thoroughly dismissed sir
