A Bangpoppin Year

Thank you to @annoyingcloudearthquake for the tag! I won't overwhelm y'all with the sheer volume of everything I wrote or created in 2025 but I will share a highlights real.

Starting off strong, the thing that feels the most significant to me is partnering up with my friend @thepinkcrayon to start @pb-zines and putting out the fan zines @bucktommyzine2025 and 911: Holiday Edition ( @911holidayzine ) between both zines we were able to donate $948.50 to different charities. I can't wait to see what 2026 will bring for PB Zines.

These are some of my favorite stories I've written and/or moodboards I have made.

My Heart Will Go On

This is possibly my favorite story I wrote this year. It is an Athena Grant centeric fic that I wrote in the wake of 8.15 before 8.16 aired that duves deep into her grief but also allowed Michael to be there for her even though I knew he wouldn't actually be able to return to the show. Even though it is one of the angstiest fics I wrote this year it is still one of my favorites.

Not So Happy Holidays

Even though this is the last fic I wrote in 2025 it is still one of my favorites and will always hold a special place in my heart because it marked my entry into the Heated Rivalry fandom as an author. It is silly and light hearted and it was just so much fun to write this little holiday sick fick about Shane and Ilya.

Class Rings and Wedding Bands

This was such a fun rare pair fic that I wrote early last year and made this moodboard for a few months ago. I loved writing this sort of what if story to fill in parts of Tommy and David's back stories. This story is also the fic that kicked off my series Love Like A Country song which is a series of one shots all inspired by country songs.

First Fruits

I will always love any story I write about Paul and Marjan, strickwani my beloved. But I loved getting to write this Kwanzaa fic for 911: Holiday Edition, and loved all the research I put into this story. I honestly didn't have a lot of knowledge about Kwanzaa before deciding to write this story and getting to learn about the holiday so that I could write this fic was wonderful.

Hurry Down My Chimney Tonight

This was another story I loved writing because it gave me the chance to (finally) collaborate on a fun, smutty fic with thepinkcrayon who is insanely talented. Plus I love Tarlos, they are my OG 911 ship.

Daddy Issues

This bucksal fic started out as what was supposed so be a smutty one shot prompt fill for @thecarrott and spun into a multichapter fic, a companion story, as well as a whole universe for me to explore. It is fun and sexy and I love it so much.

The Hurricane Is All We Know

Going Down Fighting

I'm grouping these two fics together because I love them but also because they were both stories I wrote for @bt-novempreg they are right up there with My Heart Will Go On for the angstiest stories I wrote this year. They deal with the topics of infertility and abortion, but they really gave me a chance to explore different stories and stretch my muscles as an angst fic writer. They feel so special to me because they are so different from what I normally write and they really allowed me to grow as a writer.

The Bridgerton AU

These are my three favorite moodboards I made as part of a moodboard series of an AU Bridgerton 911 series they were just a lot of fun for meand I may eventually go back and write full stories for these three moodboards.

Father of The Bride

This bobbymichael and mayravi moodboard was inspired by the movie Father of the Bride was one of favorite movies growing h up and I still love it today. I made this moodboard as part of a series of fun, lighthearted movie inspired moodboards and I just really love it.

“Tooooooommmmy,” Sal drunkenly drawls out glaring at his best friend sitting next to him cackling. “It’s not funny, Toommmmy. He looked so regal in his uniform and I wanna do things.”

“Bobby,” Tommy mumbles just as drunk but slightly more coherent. He’s not sure if it’s Evan’s impending arrival or if he's actually sobering up. He can't actually remember how many shots they've done since he got here.

“Howie,” Sal answers dreamily. “He’s smart as hell and god those arms. Tommy he’s hot and its not fair.

Non-Sexual Intimacy Prompts

Sal was having a no good, very bad day.

It was like that book his mama would read to him and his siblings when they were particularly grumpy as kids, but Sal didn't get to find out it's Saturday or get to go outside and play at the end of the book.

He is thirty-seven weeks pregnant, he has to pee constantly, fresh air gives him heart burn so bad he vomits, and his sciatic nerve is on fire. Most offensive of all though is being put on restrictive desk duty. Who has ever heard for a fire captain being man behind in their own house? He can't believe he had to make Chavez his Acting Captain already, not that Chavez isn't a damn good leader and equally competent fire fighter, it's the principle of the matter.

Sal is completely done with all of it. He is done with his shift. He is done with this stupid day. And most of all, he is done with being pregnant. Sal wants their daughter out of him now.

Unfortunately Baby Girl Deluca-Han doesn't seem particularly inclined to vacate Sal's body any time soon. Which Sal fully blames her father for. But since he can't have his body or his job back yet tonight he will settle for passibly mid take out in bed while Howie is on shift.

Maybe it isn't Saturday, and maybe he doesn't get to go outside and play. But Sal arrives home to something even better. Howard.

Howie who is supposed to be on shift till tomorrow. Howie who had been sent on a medical call with Hen cutting their phone call earlier short. Howie who is at their home and had transformed it into something magical.

The entire house smells like home in a nostalgic way. It smells like his Mama and Nona's kitchen's back in New York. Like garlic, fresh herbs, and love. There isn't a single harsh light on in the house, there are twinkle lights strung up all over the living room which had been turned into a giant blanket fort.

Sal is normally a pretty stoic guy, occasionally outburts of anger aside, so he blames his pregnancy hormones for the tears gathering in the corners of his eyes. Tears that he blinks back as best he can. Because one of Sal's favorite memories was creating elaborate blanket forts with his siblings and cousins as a kid, watching movies in those blanket forts before falling asleep in a giant Deluca family sleepover.

Sal thinks Howie has used every blanket they own, and some the dont, to construct the tent like blanket fort that takes up half of their massive living room making it feel small and intimate, like a tiny protective nest or burrow, just for their growing family with their insanely comfortable, over stuffed couch at the center of it and The Princess Bride qued up on the tv. Howie appears behind him holding two massive bowls of fresh home made spaghetti alla putttanesca.

That's what makes Sal lose the battle against his hormones and cry. Because Howie made his his comfort food, he can tell from the way the noodles are far from uniform only Howie could have made them.

"You're supposed to be at work." Sal cries lately, because it's easier to focus on that rather than everything Howie has done to make Sal's bad day better. Howie, his sweet, wonderful husband sets down the bowls of deliciously fragrant pasta before taking Sal's face between his hands, using the pads of his thumbs to tenderly wipe away Sal's tears.

"Bobby gave me the night off. My husband needed me more than the people of LA." Howie explained bringing Sal in for a gentle kiss.

"How did you even pull this off?" Sal asked with a sniffle, resting his exhausted, sore body against Howie's strong one. He can take the weight, and does it without complaining, his hands coming to the small of Sal's back gently massaging it.

"I had some help." Sal listens contently as Howie explains how Karen and Tommy had helped him move the couch and construct the tent like blanket fort, how Howie had FaceTimed his Mama and she had walked Howie through every step of her puttanesca recipe. Howie has come a long way as a cook, especially under Bobby's tutelage, but Sal is a Mama's boy at heart, and no puttanesca can compare to his Mama's recipe. "Come on baby, let's go eat before our dinner gets cold." Howie says softly leading Sal to their big couch settling him into it making sure Sal is supported by a plethora of pillows.

Their dinner is so good that Sal is in danger of crying all over again, the puttanesca tastes just like his Mama's. It's perfectly. Howie had even found the perfect non-alcoholic wine to pare with it, giving Sal a sense of normality in his ever changing body. The couple curl up together as they eat watching Sal's favorite movie. Once their food is finished and Sal has had second and third helping - he's eating for two after all - the couple rearrange themselves on the couch so that they are cuddling.

Sal and Howie are connected from head to toe with no space between them. Sal is happily curled around his husband while one of Howie's hands massages his bastard sciatic nerve and the other hand gents pets Sal's distended belly. Baby girl had been using his organs for punching bags and his bladder as a trampoline all day, but she has gone quiet and still under Howie's soothing hands.

"Feels good." Sal murmured feeling relaxed and sleepy.

"You deserve it." Howie replied kissing the top of his head. Sal knows it is Howie's knowledge of the human body and medicine, but it feels like magic when the hand massaging his lower back finds just the right spot, pressing just right. Sal relaxes even more with a loud moan as the pain leaves his body.

"We should name Baby Girl, Buttercup." Sal says withbanother moan, because this might be the best back rub Sal has ever gotten, including the one Howie gave him the night that he had gotten pregnant. Howie chuckles softly into the top of Sal's head,

"Let's revisit that when you aren't hyped up on oxytocin and endorphins." Howie suggets sweetly. Sal will let it go, for now, he doesn't think he'll change his mind, but he's feeling so good. All loose limbs and warm fuzzy emotions, but it has been a long day. He doesn't want to ruin the cozy romantic mood by arguing about baby names right now.

"Another." Sal demands feeling a little bratty and petulant when the credits roll on the movie. He's exhausted and could fall asleep right here in the warm soft glow of twinkle lights and blankets. He's the most comfortable hevhas been since the start of his third trimester with a big soft, fuzzy blanket covering them while Sal uses Howie as a pillow. Howie kisses the top of his head, rubbing a hand over the massive swell of Sal's belly.

"Okay." Howie whispers turning on Robin Hood Men In Tights.

Marian is a pretty name, they should name Baby Girl Marian. Sal mumbles into Howie's chest before his eyes close and he falls asleep, snoring softly.

Sal hates these big stuff LAFD events. The 118 had been volunteered by the chief to be all gussied up like a bunch of show ponies for a big fundraising gala. So here Sal is dressed in his full dress uniform, sweating, and irritated and not wanting to lick the Gucci loafers of whatever rich, pretentious Silicone Valley asshole he is supposed to be convincing to donate to the LAFD. Worst of all is how fucking hot his boyfriend looks in his uniform.

Howie is always hot. Sal is a little obsessed with the fact his boyfriend is six inches shorter than him but is all compact muscle and can easily man handle him. Sal is pretty sure he saw the face of god the first time Howie had picked him up and fucked him against the wall of his bedroom. The problem is that it is Friday night, they are in full dress uniform and at LAFD sanctioned event. So no matter how badly Sal wants it he cant have his boyfriend bend him over the nearest flat surface and fuck him until he has another religious experience.

By the time Sal manages to excuse himself from Trey, or maybe it's Tripp, having secured a promise of a donation worth more than Sal's mortgage he makes his way to the bar. He needs a stiff drink if he's going to kiss anymore rich capitalist's ass holes tonight.

"What's a guy like you doing in a place like this?" Howie asks playfully, his voice drifting over Sal's shoulder as his waits for his Old Fashioned. He turned to look at his boyfriend who is grinning as him like he's having a great time, or at least not wanting to sucker punch someone.

"Lookin to get into a little bit of trouble." He responds wagging his eyebrows flirtatiously. Howie snorts at the line but he's still smiling.

"May I please have a vodka soda?" Howie orders with painful politeness after the bartender hands Sal his drink. He turns to Sal still smiling. "That was terrible, even for you, you know that right?" Howie asks while laughing. Sal shrugged completely uncovered, he is not smooth, he never has been. But he does know how to wind Howie up. So he slides in closer to his boyfriend than is strictly considered professional and gives Howie his best fuck me eyes.

"I really want to kiss you right now." Sal murmured his most seductive voice possible, just loud enough that only Howie could hear. The other man raised his eyebrows, tilting his head to the side his grin becoming cocky and all knowing.

"Is that so?" Sal hummed in affirmation, leaning in just a hair closer tilting his head towards Howie's. Regulations be dawned, Sal wants to kiss his boyfriend. "Is that all you want? Howie asked suggestively leaning into Sal's space. Of course that isn't all Sal wants. He wants to be dragged off to a storage closet and do unholy things to Howie. He wants to be taken home so he can pin the other man to the bed and ride him. Sal wants to drop to his knees right here at the bar and beg his boyfriend to fuck his throat.

"For now." Sal responded because he is sure that Howie knows exactly what he wants, and it isn't some chaste kisses between brown nosing and boot licking. But Howie does lean in, closing the gap between them. It's a perfectly chaste and appropriate kiss, all things considered. But it is full of heat and promises for later, lingering just seconds to long to be appropriate for the occasion.

"If you promise to be good and not assault anyone tonight. I promise to take you home and fuck you against the wall so hard you cant walk straight tomorrow." Howie muttered against his lips.
