Well.. that's a wrap folks! I can't believe it's almost been two whole years of Somnium! Thank you so much to anyone who's read along and gotten as attached to my guys as much as I have.
I had no idea where I was going or what I was getting into when I started this, and what a beast it turned into!! Over 790 scenes 😱
I've had more fun than I could've imagined and although this is the end of Somnium, it's not the end of Oscar n' co. and certainly not the end of my storytelling ventures! But I'll ramble about my future plans in another post I think...
Big kisses and hugs to you all on this momentous occasion ahaaakjsdkjd! 🤗🧡
Also! plz enjoy this silliness I faffed around with just for funsies...

𝘚𝘢𝘳𝘢 𝘊𝘰𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴, (digital) colors on (digital) canvas — by the one and only Allie Confy (which is me 😎).
You all wanted me to continue the series of artworks with the voice actors of Resident Evil Village, so… Here we are!
Hope you like it, @scoatesy — and happy birthday 😊❤️
(Hopefully by this point you’ve finished all 99 minutes of 'Laggies’, the kind of person who isn’t bothered by spoilers, or are just deciding if you still want to keep watching.)

Now I have the answer to: ‘Can Keira play someone other than an English person?’!!
(And yes...I would like to meet those people who only would have watched Keira in this one...thinking that she’s an American.)
It's just like 'Captain Marvel' in a way that it takes 30 minutes to find its feet. And I was surprised too on how Keira was able to pull of 'LA High School Cheerleeder' (or at least....the more 'air-head sounding accent and tone that comes with it). The reason I thought that she hasn't played an American yet...was...because she struggled with it.
One thing was interesting though....was that Megan seemed to have that lower register of voice...which reminds me when Frances McDormand mentioning (was it in her SAG talk?) that to get the Minnesota tone...she had to keep smiling...which was a struggle to deliver lines during the more serious scenes.
PS: I was hoping to get more a bit about the background of how Keira pulled the ‘Californian Accent’ off. Was it something she already had in her pocket waiting for someone to ask her? Maybe you’ll be able to spot it somewhere in an interview or within Lynn’s commentary....as the only one I’ve found is this one.

HIGHLIGHT:
INT. HALPSKY'S OFFICE - DAY
MEGAN and ANNIKA are sitting across MRS. HALPSY's desk. MEGAN is wearing a shawl across her shoulders.
MRS. HALPSY
So, I'm becoming concerned that Annika is not taking steps towards her future.
MEGAN nods
MEGAN
Got it. Well, I'll be sure to talk to her about it at home.
She glances at her 'daughter' and looks back at MRS. HALPSY and flashes her a quick smile.
MEGAN
So, we're good here?
MRS. HALPSY
Mrs Hunter, I realise you must have a very busy life, but...I was hoping that we could all come up with a plan today.
MEGAN
OK. Sure...a plan.
She flashes MRS. HALPSY another smile and turns to ANNIKA.
MEGAN
Do you have one?
ANNIKA
Uh...I...I don't know. I mean...It kind of seems stupid to plan that far in advance when you're just going to change your mind anyway. Right?
She gives her 'mother' a quick glance.
ANNIKA
Say you had a kid, and then you realised you didn't really want the kid---
MRS. HALPSY
Was there a pregnancy?
MEGAN
No, she's talking about her mom---Me...
Drat! I hope she didn't notice!
MEGAN
...her mom.
MRS. HALPSY eyes them both suspiciously.
A small smile escapes ANNIKA. Humour still trumps trouble.
MEGAN
And as her mom, I'd say that, sure...it does seem kind of stupid to make some sort of rigid plan for the future, but...
She looks from MRS. HALPSY to ANNIKA
MEGAN
...it's stupider not to start paying attention to who you are and what makes you happy.
She looks off into the distance. The current 'mission' temporarily forgotten.
MEGAN
Otherwise, you just float.
ANNIKA listens to MEGAN, but MRS. HALPSY is desperately trying to make sense of it all.
MEGAN
So...there's a start of her plan. Good meeting, Mrs Halpsky. You've given us a lot to think about.
MRS. HALPSY buys it.
MRS. HALPSY
Yes, well. Yes.
MEGAN
This is kind of an interesting job to have, huh? What kind of licensing does it take?
MRS. HALPSY
Are you questioning my qualifications?
