Why Diets Don't Work....
I've been reading and hearing so many people talk about going on a diet. Every time I hear it I just want to scream. Diets don't work! Diets do not give you permanent results. Diets are all about restricting yourself and "will power". I personally know this does not work. Most people last about 2 weeks on a diet. Diets make you feel restricted and like you have to give up everything you love to eat. This is why most people fail while on a "diet". Diets end but you know what doesn't end? A lifestyle. Make a lifestyle change and you will never have to go on a "diet" ever again in your life. A lifestyle change gives you freedom and total control over what you eat. If you are sticking to a strict "diet" you don't have total control and freedom. Deep down inside we really don't like to be told what to do. This is why you should focus on changing your lifestyle instead of going on a "diet". It's simple, just eat more of the good and less of the not so good stuff. If your day consists of mainly healthy foods and you sparingly eat the not so healthy food, you will lose weight. I think it's time that we retire the word "diet" and just use it for what it really means. Your diet is what you eat not what you go on to lose weight. A permanent lifestyle change is what you should be aiming for.
