I dont think I’ve ever been so excited to answer an ask before!!! So I have a playlist I listen to whenever I write the slowburn fanfic I’m currently working on and it’s basically my own twilight soundtrack. It gets me in the right headspace and some songs correspond with specific chapters and others just have the general vibe I’m going for. Here are the songs on my playlist. Ieri ho visto per la prima volta una band che inseguo da almeno due anni senza successo: sono ancora piuttosto sconosciuti a chi non è nell’ambiente ma li amo con tutta me stessa e sono stata felicissima di cantare finalmente le loro canzoni accanto ad uno dei miei più cari amici che voleva a tutti i costi farsi questo concerto con me. Abbiamo saltato stando abbracciati, ci è arrivato pure del vino addosso ma non ce ne è fregato niente.

Quanto mi fa stare bene la musica, nessuno lo sa. Non ho molti amici che vanno ai concerti, o che comunque provano la mia stessa passione viscerale per la musica in generale, quindi è sempre bello quando trovo qualcuno che “andiamo insieme, sarà bellissimo”. E bello lo è davvero.

Loro comunque sono i Selton, sono brasiliani trapiantati ormai da tanti anni a Milano, hanno delle atmosfere tutte loro che mi fanno impazzire, alcune canzoni mi hanno letteralmente ammazzata, le prime volte che le ho ascoltate: hanno quel tocco di malinconia misto a romanticismo e rimpianti nascosti con cui io vado praticamente a braccetto da una vita. 

C’è una loro canzone in particolare che ormai è diventata la colonna sonora dei miei capodanni, la ascolto in loop ossessivo dal 30 Dicembre al 2 Gennaio, si chiama Buoni Propositi e mi rimanda sempre alla mente una marea di ricordi di un Capodanno particolare, che è partito in maniera disastrosa e che poi si è concluso in meglio, come mai avrei immaginato. Piccola Sbronza è strettamente collegata al filone dei miei ricordi: stessi protagonisti nella mia testa, solo qualche mese prima. Praticamente è il mio prequel e mi fa sempre ridere quante volte abbia avuto bisogno di bere per avere il coraggio di parlare con quella mia “certa persona”. Grazie al cielo ora non ce n’è più bisogno ed il mio fegato ringrazia.  Luna in Riviera è la mia serata personale, me la canto quando ho bisogno di tirarmi su e di ricacciare indietro i fantasmi del mio passato che ogni tanto - bastardi - tornano a fare capolino. Arrivederci goodbye, a mai più. Voglia d’infinito invece ormai è il mio inno, la medicina quando sono giù di morale: con quella sembra davvero che la speranza non muoia mai. 

In ogni caso, questi ragazzi sono la perfetta dimostrazione che “casa” è uno stato mentale: amare dove si è e soprattutto dove si sta andando, con un occhio però sempre diretto verso le proprie radici, vicine o lontane che siano. Mi ricordano un po’ me. O almeno quello che sto promettendo a me stessa.
