“Canon” pairings: do I fw them?
My personal headcanons! (All of yours are also valid!!!)
Alex & Haley: a lavender situationship if there ever was one. And a kind of uneven one at that. Alex is way more into it. He has convinced himself that they actually are going to get married and have 2.5 children and Dusty (who is going to die at the exact same time Alex does) He does, in between talking about her tits, proclaim that he is waiting for marriage (…for kissing…and handholding…and hugging.)
Haley does not give that much of a shit and is honestly way more self-aware. She likes that he’s easy to boss around, is constantly complimenting her (if he gets annoying she’ll just tell him to shut the fuck up and he will), and is objectively hot. A hot guy following her around is great for optics.
Abigail and Sebastian: they like each other but it never actually happens. A little will they won’t they, but in the end no. They just find someone else they like better.
Elliott and Leah: wine besties first and foremost. If something flirty happens during wine nights (I see Leah as bi and Elliott as Pan), that’s chill, but it’s still friendship. They live in the moment, they’re artists.
Emily and Shane: this one is tough. On one hand, they actually could be a silly fun couple. On another hand, Sandy!!!! On a secret third hand: Emily has two hands. Emily and Sandy would be down (they got quirky throuple written all over them), but Shane probably wouldn’t vibe with it as much.
Harvey and Maru: no!!! No!!!!!!*
*I see it more as a big age gap sibling relationship, where one is kind of the third parent, kind of a peer. Maru gets the big brother she always wanted.
Penny and Sam: this is the only one where I’m like “yes, absolutely.” Both sweetiepies. One is responsible and shy and could benefit who someone wanting to do the talking. One is outgoing and can do with someone responsible. He ends up working at the library even. They both would love kids. They are already good with Vincent (who will be absolutely heartbroken that his brother stole his girl 😔) The one thing is that she wants to settle down and Sam wants to be a rockstar. But Sam obviously is willing to settle down; he marries the farmer. And let’s be so real rn. Is he going to be a rockstar? One of his bandmates already has a job and seems to be annoyed with him half the time.
