Low key wondering if I should just make my own blog with prompts for a-spec characters and non rose relationships because majority of the blogs that have the really good prompts have no interest in writing prompts that aren’t romance and/or smut nor do they care to understand what a non rose relationship is

All the blogs that once posted a-spec prompts are dead or slowly becoming inactive.

One active blog I saw had a prompt list for queerplatonic prompts listed under their friendship category and another tags their queerplatonic prompts as sibling prompts too 🫩

I definitely would encourage it! It would be nice to have somewhere where I could see stuff for alterous relationships, QPRs, passionate friendships, senseships, FWBs, intimaships, etc.

Especially senseships, those are so underrated even amongst people who post about nonrose relationships.

Senseship Moments: Falling Asleep Together

Originally having plans to watch a movie while they cuddled but they ended up falling asleep first because they both had a long day

They planned a cuddle date and one surprised the other with matching pajamas due to the last one resulting in both falling asleep

“It looks like this cuddle session turned into a napping session.”

Their arm is falling asleep but they refuse to wake the other

“Sorry, say that again?” “It’s fine, I know you’re tired. Just go to sleep.”

Considering adding forehead kisses to their preferences so they can get good night kisses when falling asleep

Do you know long have non rose relationships been around? Like senseships, alterous relationships, passionate friendships? I know that queerplatonic relationships have been around since 1800s (if I remember correctly) but I’m curious to know how long the others have been around. Like would there have been some knowledge about them before the 2000s? Maybe even the 80s?

Forever. Since the start of humankind. They just didn't have labels. Queerplatonic attraction didn't magically come into existence in the 1800s, its always existed, just unlabeled.

Not all partnerships are romantic, and I'm so tired of people saying "partner" and only thinking of romance.

Intimaships, casual relationships, senseships, passionate friendships, queerplatonic relationships, alterous relationships, waverships, and a whole load of other types of partnerships exist.

Additionally, not all people who are romantically interested in each other consider their relationship to be a partnership. For example, I know a solo polyamorist who doesn't consider any of their relationships to be partnerships.

The conflation of "partner" and "romance" should be seriously deconstructed.

They didn't really like that everyone assumed that when they said they loved someone, it meant it was romantic. The love they gave was not limited to any one category. Their love was meant for everyone they were willing to give it to in whatever form that felt right

Their love for each other couldn't easily be understood by the naked, uninformed eye. And they were okay with that. It only matters that they knew what their love meant to each other

There's nothing like aroallo4aroallo love. That was something they've happily accepted since they realized their orientation

Their love wasn't "normal" and they were proud to say that it wasn't. Normal was boring and meant to be defied. Being openly weird about it is the only correct way, if you ask them.

Non Rose Relationship Prompts Inspired by One of My Writing Playlists

We haven't talked to each other in a while but that hasn't stopped me from thinking about you. I thought I was just lonely after moving so far away from everything I know. But you've got me wanting to move again. Would it be crazy if I did that just so we can be qpps?

When They’re Aspec and It’s Juneteenth

Prompts for my fellow Black aspecs since Juneteenth is tomorrow and we don’t get that much rep. For those of you who aren’t American, have a happy Friday and eat something you love

Being excited to tell their favorite cousin about The Someone they’ve been friends with for a while and are slowly developing romantic feelings for

Introducing their queerplatonic partners to the family who is surprisingly more than happy to meet them

Being relieved that for the first time they don’t have to explain why they don’t have a partner

Video calling their long distance alterous partner so the rest of their family can meet them

Almost crying happy tears after overhearing someone refer to them with their correct pronouns

Bringing their chosen sibling to meet their blood family. They are instantly treated as if they've been blood related all along

Their siblings have returned from out the state to meet their amical partner. Despite being skeptical at first, they seem to really like their partner

Somehow their grandma got word of their plans to get married to their PLP; she wants to plan it herself

They find out that their grandparents were also aspec and in a non rose relationship this whole time they just never corrected others about their label

They giggle with their cousin about their respective swishes

Their aunt had the right idea about senseships… just the wrong approach

Explaining exteramo attraction to that one uncle who can’t stop asking questions

Some of their family members actually sit and listen to them explain what the SAM is

Their favorite aunt won't stop hugging their solar and saying how good looking they are

Their domestic partner thinks this is their family

By the end, their adornic partner doesn't want to leave

For once, they don't get ridiculed for not saying "I love you"

Their coming out encouraged their cousin to also come out about as aspec

Since explaining what aspecness is, it seems that a lot more people have started to step back and explore their orientations. Some have even learned that they may also be aspec and/or that non rose labels fit their relationships more

Their cousins keep trying to throw them a coming out party since they recently learned they were anattractional and are unfortunately very insistent on it
