Five simple ways to release harmful beliefs
Harmful beliefs constrain manifestation and impact well-being.
Here are 5 simple ways anyone can use to release them:
1) Writing Exercise Select a topic, then write down your beliefs surrounding it on a piece of paper. Ask yourself various questions related to that topic while monitoring your thoughts and emotions to uncover what beliefs you hold.
For example, if you're looking for a fulfilling relationship, you can ask yourself how you feel about love, being in a relationship, and finding the right partner.
After writing down all your beliefs, erase the negative and limiting ones with an eraser. Alternatively, you can write down the beliefs you want to discard on a piece of paper, and dispose of it by tossing it into a fire.
2) Affirmations Create an affirmation to overwrite a negative belief, and repeat it daily. To save time, you can weave this practice into your routine, for example, while going for a walk or running errands.
I've got a tip on how to construct an effective affirmation: Use positive phrasing and avoid negations (e.g., "not"). This is because the Universe tends to ignore the word "not."
For example, if you want to end a toxic ancestral cycle, the affirmation "I do NOT continue the toxic cycle of my ancestors" might not work well, because the Universe could still interpret it as "I continue the toxic cycle of my ancestors."
Instead, try: "I break the toxic cycle of my ancestors and start a healthy one with love and joy."
3) Ho'oponopono This is a traditional Hawaiian practice of forgiveness and healing. Ask yourself what might have caused the belief. If a painful memory surfaces, say: "I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you." If another memory arises, repeat this prayer until no more memories come up.
4) Visualization Method from the Seth Material Imagine your harmful beliefs as an old, run-down house. Then, visualize it burning to the ground, with the debris carted away and destroyed. Now, the land is free, ready for the construction of a new, beautiful house that represents your new set of beneficial beliefs.
I've tried this exercise by visualizing the destruction of different kinds of old structures instead of a house, and it still works. If you prefer using other types of structures to represent your old beliefs, you can visualize their destruction and the effect is just as powerful.
5) Shift Your Focus Your beliefs direct your thoughts → Your thoughts shape your emotions → Your emotions generate energy → Your energy influences your manifestations and hence your physical experiences → Your experiences reinforce your beliefs (summarized by the diagram below 👇😁). This is an endless feedback loop.
However, you can transform this loop by mastering your focus, thus changing your thoughts, and gradually replacing your beliefs. If you'd like to learn more about how to shift your focus, please read this post: [x]
Seth just described how you can see fragments of yourself that manifest outward. Like basically if you harbor so many thought forms that are formed in fear and negativity, if that energy is concentrated to such a degree and there happens to be a lapse in time you can see and apparition (I guess) of that image. If even for a couple seconds. The example used in the book is of the author and her husband in a night club, she’d notice this older couple looking bitter and ugly, angry. She noticed that the couple looked like them, her and her husband, whom at the time wasn’t physically feeling his best. It felt like for the they were at a crossroads to accept hat image or visual of that coupe as the next step on their path or to bypass it and choose something else. In that instant They chose to dance, they altered their path. The apparition, the couple disappeared. And even writing this i got the impression that it’s happen to me before. Like I’ve seen myself walking around disheveled and defeated and at some point chose otherwise. Cause i can guarantee I wouldn’t be here writing this.
“God, or All that is, cannot be defined in limited human terms. It is the sum of all probabilities, the origin of all realities, and the infinite ocean of potential from which all universes arise. All that is , is experienced through each of its creations, including you”

"You may understand that many of your dreams have a symbolic meaning. It may escape you, however, that the objects with which you surround yourself in physical life also have symbolic meanings — only these are three-dimensional. You may spend time trying to understand the nature of dreams and their implications, without ever realizing that your physical life is to some extent a three-dimensional dream."

My passage above is inspired by:
"You must perceive what you do of reality through your physical senses, but your physical senses distort reality. They present reality to you in their own way. The physical senses can only perceive reality a little bit at a time, and so it seems to you that one moment exists, and is gone forever, and the next moment comes, and like the one before it disappears. But everything in the universe exists at one time, simultaneously, and the first words ever spoken still ring throughout the universe; and in your terms the last words ever spoken have been said time and time again, for there is no ending and no beginning. It is only your perception that is limited.
Reality is not limited. There is no past, present and future. These only appear to those who exist within three-dimensional reality.”

If you want to increase your emotional distance from an awful past event, instead of labeling it as an event happened to you in this current life, it may be useful to tell yourself that this event happened in a past life. This method works because we tend to associate ourselves less with events from past lives, and associate ourselves more with things from this life. The less association we feel and the less we identify ourselves to an event, the less effect it has on us.
If you find it bizarre to label a past event in this life as an event in past life, consider this: according to spiritual teacher Seth who was channeled by Jane Roberts in the 1960s-80s, for humans, when we sleep, we return to the spiritual realm - just like what we do when we pass on - temporarily, then we come back to the physical world when we wake up. Therefore, we go through a mini cycle of death and rebirth on a daily basis. From this perspective, past events from this life are similar to events from past lives, as every day is a new life and a new beginning for us.
Our powers lie in the present, which also means that we have the powers to choose how we deal with the past. This trick is not intended to encourage you to simply shove away your past and not face it, but to allow you to handle it more effectively. For example, when we are too strongly identified with the past, we can’t easily free ourselves from its energy. By increasing our emotional distance from it, the healing process can be more efficient.
The above is a mini trick that hopefully can help you find more peace with your past. May you be blessed!
