White people that never want to acknowledge that they have white privilege and are more privileged than BIPOC especially BLACK TRANS PPL is beyond me … like even with things I deal with the oppression I as a black trans person experience extremely more than just the traumatic life I have had is such a unique experience no white person really can relate tbh even if they grew up poor like
Tw: Abuse , Assault
How tf is it that ppl that have assaulted and or abused me and others have more of a support system than me.. this world is fuckeed.
I have severe mental illness, disabled , neurodivergent and have experienced a lot of pretty intense things. The fact that I am black and trans but more specifically because I am black adds this heavyweight to everything I experience. That is a very unique experience to myself. Even to get help that makes me feel so hopeless about everything because of how antiblack the medical system is this includes psychiatric care too. I hate this world and how it works solely off of killing off black ppl and how Antiblackness is literally ingrained so much in society at this point it’s actually crazy.
you put it there. //non-trauma survivors dnrb
Polyfragmented high-control DID systems: whats the word for members who know each other but arent related but not friends but not entirely enemies? Just hundreds of incredibly traumatized people trapped in a weird meatsuit? I have massive issues with the entire concept of family or familial bonds whatsoever because of my brand of trauma. Most of the adults are queer, but most of the entire system are kids so that doesnt even come into play, and friendships between us alters are most definitely not a thing. Almost none of us actually like each other, or have feelings on any other system member other than negative or nothing. We are not some big happy family or a bunch of cute matching puzzle pieces in a body; we are a massive collection of random, disconnected individuals and subsystems who experienced extreme trauma in the same body and somehow, time is supposed to be happening in a linear fashion now, which is the exact opposite of how 95%+ of our alters' memories + lived experiences feel, sound, look, or even happen at all. I just dont know what the word for any of this is. Side note: obviously absolutely no romance, our system doesnt have the capacity for that at all. Its hard enough to feel romance in the outside world, and thats for people we like. We dont like each other.
Okay but honestly as someone who has been through some really horrific abuse and other traumas - I wish there could be a way to state that, in some sense, certain types of trauma can be “worse”? Without it having to be taken as comparing or trying to invalidate others. Because, no, it is not okay to belittle others experiences, all trauma is bad, and it can be more about how it effected you personally and how your brain handled it. I fully understand and respect all of that, I promise. However, at the same time - say, bullying at school and C*SA or grooming are very different things (coming from someone who experienced all three), ya know? Those things have very different effects, and someone who has only experienced the first, probably can’t exactly relate to someone who experienced the latter.
I don’t know, the last thing I want to do is minimize anything, all trauma is a horrible thing. But, as someone who has a hard time finding people and things to relate to (even in amongst other systems) because of the differences of the things I’ve been through, and the differences in the amount it fucked up my memory, general brain, life, abilities, etc - I wish it was more okay to speak of the differences between types of trauma without it having to be seen as competition.
