listening to a podcast might help distract you from the people! You'll do a great job!!
ah that actually sounds like a great idea! i’ll definitely have headphones in any way ;v; the only thing i’m worrying about is when i start talking to myself -_- it doesn’t matter at home but in publique it’s... not acceptable >.<
I was going through your blog and kept wondering what Thyme's head fluff reminded me of. And I realized he has the same little toupee as the pringles man. Just wanted to share this very important revelation
?!?!? i know exactly what to do with this information!!!!
@operationvet don’t think i forgot about you
add a bit of k9 and by photoshop powers combined you get…..
creature questions part 3: bride of creature questions
yup there’s more of these. i already have one worldbuilding project drowning my inbox at all times, i wanna nip all the questions for these things in the bud!
some main points before we start. i’m answering all of these loophole questions because its good worldbuilding but in the reality of the world these would very rarely be a thing. there are easier ways to get immortality and worse ways to die. there are no historical records of a visitor ever breaking their pact. their creature dying and thus them suffering their original death yes, but the pact compels you to come back and tells you its time to go. its a thrall. people don’t really fight it unless they’re scheming super duper hard and let me tell you, the schemes that work don’t end up worth it. weird stuff happens when you tie magic in a knot like that. loopholes are great, but magic is going to keep trying to do what its supposed to do and if you can’t find a way to make that happen it will make that happen.
but anyway.
1. yes. being cursed (the pacts are medically filed under curses) would impact your deployment and station though. you can’t let a person steer who might suddenly turn the boat around or swim away out of nowhere. if they want to serve or assist on a mission they would have to give their death information to their superiors first.
2. the pact forms whether the parties involved like it or not. if someone stays for 11 days in a row, that’s a pact. you don’t have to be in the shell the whole time, but if you’re outside for more than 24 hours the timer resets.
3. the day the creature eats them is the day they would die. the pact times it so that you get there when you’re supposed to. distance doesn’t really make a difference, its just longer or shorter travel. if you’re super sick/disabled and the creature can’t get physically closer to you, the pact basically makes you well enough to go where you need to. so a late stage bedridden cancer patient would suddenly find themselves able to get up and go without exhaustion or pain. this will last until they get to the creature.
anon 1: they can take on more guests/pacts if they feel like it (they’ll always help someone, they might not feel right about multiple pacts depending on the creature though). they don’t need a ton of pacts to live.
anon 2: new death is generated. you won’t know what the new death is but its coming.
they’re chill dragons. they’re more into maintaining their personal stuff and dealing with whats going on in their own lives than ruling over anyone. some might want power but they would be an oddity. loopholing the pact isn’t even something people really do because a large majority of the time it doesn’t work/they just don’t want to.
anon 1: nope they can form multiple pacts. they will call for help though if there are more people than they can handle. also keep in mind that the pact only starts after 11 days. i think people are gravely underestimating how much time it would take a creature to transport a visitor somewhere safer and drop them off if they asked. and they DO ask. do people feel compelled to make pacts? sure. sounds like a good deal to most. they might not even have time though. people got places to be. hanging with a fuzz house for almost 2 weeks isn’t something everyone can fit in their schedules.
I'm curious, is the dog comic based off a dream? The premise seems a bit dreamlike. Regardless I'm very invested in the safety of these puppies and seeing where it goes :D
its half based on a re-occurring nightmare involving the dog monsters, mixed with an ask i received about how someone had a dream ffak turned into a generic zombie comic. (which inspired me to make a zombie story that i would actually find engaging, as i generally dont care about zombie stories)
HI! I just found your were-gas au and I ADORE it, it's so perfect and cute and really brightened up my week :) I haven't found the Blood Pellet Incident and the time Gascoigne scares his older daughter, is there somewhere I could read those?
Hello!
The beast pellet thing was initially going to be a short story between me and another artist but life things just got in the way and we never finished it.So I might see how they feel on just releasing what we have?
The old daughter one was also going to be another story we wanted to work on and show but again, life stuff.I may just ask again if these could be released as they are at least 2 yrs old and prolly dated by then.
But sorry , we didn’t know how things would go so they never finished
