“Hey Coach,” I say, skating up to him. “Lamb ok? He missed practice.”

Coach just looks at me for several long seconds.

“How hard did Snow hit you?” I just stare back at him, unsure of what he means. Coach shakes his head at me, and puts a hand on my shoulder. “Lamb was part of the trade.”

He walks away and I’m frozen in my spot on the ice.

Lamb was my closest confidant since I joined the team. Giving me pointers on my game, and advice on how to handle the press so I didn’t get overwhelmed, as I so often did early on. He was my hotel buddy, who knows who I’ll be paired up with now.

I was reading chapter 29 when Baz arrived and he said he wanted to be the one who announced about him. In chapter 28, Simon said he was opening the door. So he didn't get what he wanted, Simon tells us, not him.

I think I'm going to ignore Simon at the end of chapter 28
