Why did Azura send the Dragonborn to Nelacar?

I'm replaying the Skyrim quest "The Black Star," and I find myself wondering why Azura, who can see the future, would direct her intended champion to a person who presumably opposes her goals.

If she can direct you to Winterhold, she could also have directed you to Ilinalta's Deep, and skipped Nelacar entirely. So why give him the chance to steer you toward turning the Star black?

We can all guess the metagame reasons, but in-universe, was she testing her would-be champion?

Did she WANT the Dragonborn to wield the Black Star - in which case, why not tell you so when you bring it to her?

Or did she just not care either way, as long as you got SOME version of the Star (which would still raise the question of why she sent you to Nelacar)?

Sudden thought

Okay so I’m sitting on my bed doing homework and listening to the Skyrim soundtrack and realized something. Skyrim has an EXTENSIVE magic aspect. Wouldn’t it be possible to write spells/make mods/add aspects to the game to translate the games magic into spells for the real world? Like.... Say you write a spell with ingredients from skyrim and performed that spell in the game. If you wrote something like, “Let this incantation affect the user in life and in fiction”, into the spell would it take hold in real life AND in the game?

Hey, can anyone who plays/has played skyrim help me out?

So I just started skyrim, and I just got a horse, and I was riding her along the road, between whiterun and solitude, and these three imperial legion soldiers came down the road and then just...attacked my horse...and killed her? They fucking murdered her? Why? Can someone please explain why they did that?

Uh, potentially (?) relevant information, if it helps

I completed the join the imperial legion quest from hadvar

They didn't attack or hurt me (initially, I fought and killed them for killing my horse), just my horse

The horse was the one from whiterun stable, Allie

I hadn't done anything illegal, and like I said they only attacked my horse

I dunno I've been playing for like, a day and had my horse for like, five minutes, I want to know why they killed her fir no reason

Skyrim Crossbow Question

Okay, so up until adding Hancock and Daryl Dixon to my game, I had never given my followers crossbows. But now I have two who the crossbow just makes more sense.

I’m noticing something weird.

When not in combat, I find them “holding” a bolt in their hands. I say “holding” because it’s more or less sticking out from their middle fingers.... hovering, point down.

Is this a normal weird Skyrim thing? Or has no one else seen this in their games?

Skyrim mod help

Can someone explain to me how to install/uninstall Skyrim mods?

My situation:

I know how to install mods using Steam, since all you do is just click "subscribe," but when I want to get rid of/no longer use one of those mods, I just hit "unsubscribe." However, when I go back to try and load my saved game (I only have one character), it says something loosely along the lines of "This save had previous content that is no longer being used, load anyways?" And I click "yes", but then it crashes. So I re-subscribe to the mod I tried to get rid of, and then it works fine. What am I doing wrong?

With the Nexus mods, I just don't know what I'm doing. I downloaded/installed the Nexus Mod Manager (NMM), so what do I do once I find a mod and click "Download using NMM"?

Can anyone explain why if you play the Dawnguard DLC if you choose to become a Vampire why does the light traits thing or whatever still stick even if you get rid of the Vampirism or become a Werewolf with the companions?

it might just be my PS3.
