Let Things Go

Giving excuses can also lead to not doing the things you need to do or not being as productive as you can be. Basically not fulfilling your full potential.

We tend to blame everything in a bad situation except for ourselfs. This is incorrect. In most cases the context and situation matters yes, but it’s important to be aware of how you view things and how you react. That’s the only thing you can have control over.

I used to get upset over every small inconvenience. That was weak of me. Now I first try to breathe and evaluate the situation.

1. Is the situation serious enough for me to get upset over? No? Move on. Yes? Next question.

3. Can I change the situation? No? Let it go. Yes? Then take action

4. Should I change the situation or my view of the situation? Both can be useable.

It’s not as simple in practice ofcourse but it’s so important for your mental health and for inner peace.

I would hear people talking shit and I would get so upset until I realised that their stupid opinion doesn’t define me. I define me. And if I give other people that power over me, I’m not being honest to myself and I don’t deserve that.

People will talk whether you do something bad or good. How much you listen to it and how much it effects you, is up to you.
