Rant about fandom and shipwars, Snapedom apreciation

I hope this doesn't sound pretentious, but one of the things I apreciate a lot about this fandom is that there, to my knowledge, aren't any shipwars. I don't know if I find anything more obnoxious, pointless, and tedious in fandom spaces than shipwars.

Like, when I was in the Steven Universe fandom, almost everywhere you went you were sure to find some Lapidot shipper going ballistic on some non-shipper or someone who shipped those characters with someone else and it made it so draining to try and engage with the fandom, and I find a similar thing is going on within the Loki fandom right now. Yet another fandom I love seems to be splitting up into factions where two groups are being pitted against each other for childish reasons, this time being Loki/Sylkie shippers vs Loki/Mobius shippers or people who are just anti Sylki because they deem the ship as toxic or "incestuous" (which it isn't-) And then people like me, who are either ambivalent towards it or are multishippers and are just trying to hang onto a sliver of fun/engaging bits of fandom and its just uhhhh.

To make a long rant short, thank you Snapedom to not falling to ship wars. It's honestly hilarious to me that a fandom centered around one of the most bitter, shrewd, disliked and argued about characters is also the least toxic fandom I've ever been in.

Strictly for funs-sake if a hypothetical shipwar broke out, which ships would you "want" it to be, I think it should be Snevor vs Snape/Reader (/j)

@maria-de-salinas asked about Snagrid for the ship asks and I accidentally deleted the ask oops.

“I like it but platonically” for the most part. I like them having a surprisingly friendly relationship even though I can’t see them being really close. Maybe like them doing work-related favors for each other and Severus grudgingly accepting Hagrid’s company when he’s out and about in the Forbidden Forest.

But also? I’m not going to lie, I’ve definitely read Snagrid for size kink purposes and that’s pretty cool too.
