I don’t usually post stuff like this, calling out a company or anything, however, this feels necessary. When these two releases first had their links go up, I immediately preordered them. “Texas Chainsaw” has been delayed over and over again and finally they put a solid release date down. “SNDN 2” has been the same all along. @shoutfactory has sent multiple emails out over the last few months, explaining delays in shipments and offering coupons for the inconvenience, but their movies still arrived by the release date. What’s worse is they offered an exclusive through the site that if you preordered anything, you’d get the release up to two weeks early. Well, it’s now December 11th. Both of these are released today, yet, I haven’t heard ‘boo’ about a shipping confirmation. This is completely unacceptable. Between them charging my card 17 times for three separate releases to not even responding to some emails to sending damaged posters, I don’t see how they plan to gain the trust of the consumer again . #shoutfactory #screamfactory #snakeoilsalesmen (at Oswego, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/BrQH6Y-Awtc/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1h7km6vrvsx0p

Damned Interweb Liars Screwing with My Sales
A Craig's List customer today sent me an email, after an initial email expressing vigorous interest, that said she didn't want to buy a Fender Jaguar at an excellent price because some snake oil salesman on the net told her they're "not good for beginners like her". What a dick. The following is my unedited email response. It amounts to a little lesson on ease of use of guitars from one to another.
I recommend you buy an electric guitar like this one and put very light strings on it. There's no reason this guitar isn't good for a beginner. Whatever you read mislead you badly—there isn't anything of much substance inherently better or worse on guitars for beginners versus pros, except for things related to finger strength, which comes down to string gauge and neck width. That's part of the beauty of playing guitar, it's democratic. Whether or not you buy this, I don't want you to be misled by bullshit others have written. I remember learning guitar and using a small necked electric guitar with light strings is great at that stage. A Jaguar's neck is actually less wide than some others which would make stretching your fingers into chords much easier, but again the difference isn't big enough on any of them to make it unusable for a beginner. The only main difference when you're beginning is the “action” of the strings on nylon acoustic vs. steel acoustic vs electric guitars. It's usually much harder to manipulate the strings of an acoustic guitar for things like shredding a solo.
