(I had an ask about the Levi's actions in the Female Titan Arc that I deleted by mistake 😔 Luckily I'd copied it into a doc to answer it before deleting it, so here you go.)
Hi, this is just a theory but if Levi would never have told the Female titan that they were going to cut her limbs she would have never called all those titans. And even after her limbs were cut off and she called the titans they would've at least been a chance to see the person inside. Isn't it a little of Levi's fault because he did it for 'style'?
Hi Anon, this isn’t the first time I’ve heard this theory and there’s no denying that this is one of the instances where Levi’s actions appear to be motivated by vengeance. Of course there’s no way of knowing how Annie would have reacted if Levi hadn’t threatened her so violently. There’s no denying that Levi’s threats triggered her to scream and call the other titans, but she may have done that anyway once she realised there was no way out of the trap she’d been caught in. At the end of chapter 28 Erwin admits the mission failed because they weren’t able to predict that the Female Titan had the ability to draw other titans with her scream, but he doesn’t lay any blame on Levi for that failing, so I'm going to agree with Erwin in this case!
