Yoonmin Neighbors/Strangers to lovers AU, where Yoongi lives below Jimin and every night at 3AM he goes out to the balcony to have a smoke since he can’t sleep, right? He’s been doing this for awhile, its practically routine.

But one night while he’s finishing his first cigarettes he notices his cat is playing with something next to him and that’s when he notices bubbles floating around him (”fallen from the sky”). He’s not bothered by it, only curious and something about it makes him feel all warm inside and shit. And like this repeats a few times a week and sometimes he can hear humming accompanying the bubbles, which makes him MORE curious because he never sees who it is.
Until one night when he goes down to do laundry and while waiting he starts to play the guitar to pass the time (he plays the tune he keeps hearing from whoever is responsible for the bubbles). When someone (Jimin) else walks in to do the laundry as well and Yoongi notices its one of his neighbors that he’s seen before but never actually spoken to. The two greet one another cordially, but no more words are exchanged for awhile as they sit in silence when suddenly Jimin begins to hum softly to himself and Yoongi immediately recognizes his voice in a very comical “Oh, so you’re the one who keeps blowing bubbles at 3 in the morning when I’m outside smoking on the balcony.”
Jimin sheepishly admits to the “crime” and that it calms him down whenever he feels restless at night and that he in fact used to do it while sitting in the bathtub until the bathtub started getting too slippery and he nearly fell once. Which is why now he goes out to the balcony to do it.
Yoongi though finding it a bit odd, understands where JImin’s coming from and how they’re not so different from each other when coping with loneliness, sleepless nights or stress. To which they bond over this.
Fast forward to some months later down the line we find Yoongi smiling down at Jimin in his arms as they sit together on their balcony. While Jimin plays with their cat by blowing bubbles for her to catch.
