Storm Clouds on the Horizon
𝓘t had been planned as a simply trip, like many before. The twins and Niniell always took their time to explore their Middle Earth a little deeper. All of them had been born here, but the ever changing place seemed to always provide a new adventure when they felt wanting for something new.
𝓣his time, their travels had led them north from Imladris. Niniell made it a point to visit her sister as often as she could, and of course her nephews, though they were mostly like little brothers to her. And the way she was usually more part of their mischief or the cause, than the voice of reason only supported this idea.
“ ℛo! Hurry up, if we lose you, I will have to dye my hair and pretend to be you, so that my sister won’t fault me for leaving one of her sons behind.” she teased him as she rode ahead of him and next to Elladan.
𝓞f course neither would ever leave Elrohir behind. Really, she was rather protective of the twins and her dear niece, but it was always fun to challenge them in a way. Elladan and Elrohir always woke up her playful side. Outside of their company she was more thoughtful and acted more fitting her heritage, but every time they went for an adventure she became almost giddy with the joy of whatever they might discover.
𝓦hen they rode out of a small forest, the air became thick and charged with electricity. There was a storm coming and they were riding right into a wall of fog that reached towards them. They would be blinded within minutes. It would be foolish to ride into the fog, but even worse to go back into the forest, since the fog would make it impossible to find their way out again.
“ 𝓦e need to find shelter, and fast!”
