Johnnie Ray
John Alvin Ray (January 10, 1927 – February 24, 1990) was an American singer, songwriter, and pianist. Highly popular for most of the 1950s, Ray has been cited by critics as a major precursor to what became rock and roll, for his jazz and blues-influenced music, and his animated stage personality. Tony Bennett called Ray the "father of rock and roll", and historians have noted him as a pioneering figure in the development of the genre. He had a unique voice and wide vocal range.....Some of his most famous songs are Cry, Just Walking in The Rain, In the Candlelight, Brokenhearted, and Such A night, to name but a few...

Can we think for a moment about how there is slim chance the Brook and his crew wrote Bink's Sake.
Because, like, if ya think about it. Brook is old and he and his crew was alive 50 years ago. Before Roger was famous and all that jazz. And we don't actually know how old the song is, but Brook seemed to have the piece memorized really well as well as he is able to play it on other instruments.
It's a common, jolly, old song amongst pirates.
It wouldn't be surprising if Brook and his crew wrote it because they were a pirate crew full of musicians and they were pirates before pirates even became famous.
So even if all the old, well known pirates know it, that doesn't disprove the fact the Brook could have written it because he was probably already dead before those pirates even set out to sea.
Like, there is no evidence of where it came from. We know Brook can write, compose and perform his own songs. So whose to say that he didn't also make Bink's Sake.
The time stopped, it’s not moving so I guess I am stuck inside a shell I have feelings it’s just that, I don’t always show how much I care ‘Cold heartless’ do you know how many times I wanted to prove you otherwise? Yeah, you’re acting surprised when I pick up a fight though it’s not a big deal. Just admit it right now I know you saw this coming so why hide in concrete? Laying around, I’m a pile of the bones that you’ve never bothered to carry at all. You say I’m protected under your wing but it’s not this big to defend me from me. Things getting harder and harder to grasp, I wish that I could but I don’t have a chance. - d.a.butterfly

darling:
[unfinished]
hey, i’ve got a confession
you know i’m not good at connection
i just fear too much.
but hey, i know you’re in a sickening situation
i just wanna let you know,
i’ll lead you away from the desperation
darling, let me help you get to your destination.
