Buck staying over for the night and Christopher has a school project that he totally procrastinated on. He needs a poster board, like right now (it’s like 10pm) So he goes into eddies room (they were changing into their pjs so bucks in there too) and is all “dad I need a poster board for a project that I just found out about blah blah blah [normal kid stuff]” Eddies like “really 🤨 you just found out about it 🤨🤨” Buck is watching this and trying to hide his smile because he has definitely done this to Maddie (more than a few times), and is like “okay Chris me and Eddie will go get your poster board” and Eddies looking at him with a raised eyebrow and is like “we will??”
They’re walking out to their car and eddies like “you know I really think we should teach him a lesson about procrastinating” Buck rolls his eyes and is all “take pity on the kid eds you’ve never procrastinated ever in your life??” And eddie goes “no Buck, I haven’t. Blah blah blah big strong man blah blah blah my dad blah blah blah” (Buck is listening with a little smile and if is hair was long enough he would be twirling it btw)
They drive almost 30 minutes to the 24 hour unnamed grocery store to get this poster board, and Bucks all smiley because oh so this is what Maddie went through with him, but now eddies right there and eddies all annoyed but it’s so… cute?? Why is he thinking about Eddie being cute?? That’s his straight best friend
Eddie notices Buck staring and he’s all grumpy and is like “what Buck” Buck just gives him a goofy little smile and that makes Eddie smile a little and suddenly they’re at the poster boards and they’re giggling a little bit now because this is fun!! Their Eddie’s kid procrastinated on his school project and it’s almost 11 now and they’re getting him a poster board and it’s all so domestic?? Buck and Eddie are doing something so traditionally parent for Christopher. Buck is feeling all warm and fuzzy about it and he doesn’t quite know why
They get home with the poster board (and by this point it’s literally almost midnight and this thing is due tomorrow) and Chris is so so relieved. They both take pity on him and help him with his project (Eddie does NOT want to, but then he caves. Chris and bucks puppy dog eyes are lethal individually, but together?? No way he was winning this one)
Suddenly it’s three in the morning and they’re FINALLY done and Chris is asleep. They crash into eddies bed together (too tired to think about the couch) and wake up tangled around each other to Chris barging into the room because he’s about to be late for school with the project they stayed up all night for
