Endless List of Platonic Relationships That I Love - Penelope Garcia and Spencer Reid
"You save my life. Can you hear me?" "Yeah, I heard that. That makes it better."
Since I love Criminal Minds so much, I just ordered seasons 1-4 on Amazon and can't wait to watch them plus I am also looking forward to ordering the other seasons later on especially 5-10 as they are my all-time favorite ones. Aaron, David, Derek, Elle, Emily, Jason, Jennifer, Penelope, and Spencer are my favorite characters in addition to Alex and Kate although I definitely know I'm going to cry when I see 100 again even though it is my all-time favorite season 5 episode. I love that episode because of the acting just the acting. I'm even preparing myself for laughing at the funny scenes again like the funny one in season 3 that is referenced again five years later in season 8 and all of us who love the show know which one I'm talking about. There are a lot of funny scenes from the years I can't wait to see again while at the same time dreading to see the sad yet heartbreaking episode again which all of us who love and know the show are aware of which one I'm talking about. I don't know when I'll order those but I know I will as I love the show and our team of profilers. They were definitely the best team in the FBI or more specifically the A-Team. #criminalminds #criminalmindsfandom #criminalmindscbs #aaronhotchner #davidrossi #derekmorgan #emilyprentiss #jasongideon #jenniferjareau #penelopegarcia #spencerried #thomasgibson #thomasgibsonofficial #joemantegna #shemarmoore #pagetbrewster #mandypatinkin #ajcook #kirstenvangsness #matthewgraygubler https://www.instagram.com/p/CgaroyBsRZO7KNDOi02pJXtn5T3_Xk4Xf1DJAM0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Spencer Ried//Maroon Dots
Super short, only 860 words 😅 sorry lmao. I’ve been thinking about this dork lately🤷🏻♀️.
"Oh, Hey Y/N." Spencer cut off Emily's nonstop rambling about her new cat Sergio when Y/N walked by.
She smiled, sending him a small wave while Emily went on. Spencer left the small circle of his colleagues to follow her vanilla-scented perfume to her cubicle across from his.
"Hey Doc, what's up." She asked, putting her bag down and sipping the coffee in her to-go cup.
"Oh, nothing. I uh, I just. I like your shirt. It looks soft." He gave her a weak smile, not able to blurt out what he wanted to say.
It would be something along the lines, "You look soft, you smell nice, and I wish you'd wear your hair down more, and I really love you.
"Oh thank you, I just got it!" She set the cup down and held the bottom of her crewneck out towards him. "You gotta feel it; it's amazing."
Spencer blushed when his fingers skimmed yours, rubbing the maroon fabric between them. It was warm from being between you and your parka. He loved the color on you.
"Hey, look, we match!" She had finally taken a moment to tear her eyes away from his messy hair and blushed cheeks to examine his outfit, which was pulled together with a maroon sweater vest.
His cheeks couldn't get any hotter, catching Derek watching him from the circle around Emily. He cleared his throat, looking back down at the small woman in front of him.
"We're like a dynamic duo." She laughed, her fingertips briefly touch the scratchy fabric of his vest.
Like usual, Spencer's tongue was caught in his throat, not knowing how to continue the conversation but not wanting to end it either.
"Where'd you get that vest anyway, it looks older than me?" Derek chimed in, walking past them.
"Says the guy who wears the same three t-shirts every day." Y/N didn't miss a beat in critiquing her other teammate's fashion sense.
Derek put his hand over his heart, his face contorted in fake pain. "Why do you gotta hurt me like that, babe?"
Spencer's eyebrows furrowed at the nickname.
"I like the vest that's my favorite color too. It looks good on you, Spencer." She smoothed it out on his chest for just a second, looking back to his eyes. It was his turn to admire the blush on her cheeks, forgetting about his own.
"Thank you." He coughed out.
It had been a few weeks since then, and you could tell the drastic change in Spencer's clothing choices. He wore at least one piece of maroon clothing a day.
Whether it was two different shaded socks, a new tie he had bought specifically for the color, and Y/N's absolute favorite, a crisp white button-up covered with tiny maroon polka-dots.
He figured she had only complimented him because of Dereks' teasing comments until the day he showed up wearing that godforsaken button.
Y/N spent the entire flight from Virginia to Los Angeles staring at him. She knew no matter how many compliments, praises, acknowledgments she threw at him; he never thought of them as anything more than reciprocating his own kindness to her.
Not until she pulled him aside on the jet during the flight home.
"Hey, Doc." She smiled, leaning against the counter while he stirred the small amount of coffee into his cup of sugar. He blushed while she fiddled with the small pendant of her necklace. It was the one Spencer had gotten her during the 'Secret Santa' gift exchange the year before. It was a small, rosegold cat.
"Hey," he whispered back, sipping his drink to distract himself.
"You know," She cleared her throat, closing her eyes for a brief moment. "I don't think Morgan could pull off this shirt even half as good as you do." She smiled, only for a split second before Spencer started coughing on the sip he had just taken.
"Oh god, are you ok?" She took the cup from his hands, patting his back.
"Yeah, just," Spencer tried to compose himself. "down the wrong pipe." Trying to play off his sudden burst of surprise.
"Of course." Y/N lips spread into a small sweet smile, a silent promise to not further his embarrassment.
"I do mean it, Spencer, you could wear anything and put that man to shame," She paused, barely touching her fingertips to smooth out the wrinkles on his shirt. She avoided eye contact, waiting for the soft rejection to come.
"I've complimented you every time I see you, and you think it's because of Derek's comments, but I'm just really in love with you."
She finished putting her hand back to her side; she still hasn't moved her eyes from the small dots littering just under his adam's apple on the collar of his shirt.
Spencer was too shell shocked to even respond. Thoughts of every love story he's ever read running laps in his mind, searching for the right answer, surely he's read one that would suffice. His mouth felt too dry to speak, instead, he put her hand back where she had been smoothing his shirt out.
"I uh, I feel that too."
Braincells
Pretty short, I couldn’t think of a good ending so it’s kind of abrupt. (any suggestions for Pt. 2 lmk)
Summary: JJ had never liked you that much but now she was much more bold with letting you, and the rest of the team, know that. Spencer doesn’t really know what to say or how to make you feel less insecure.

I stayed cuddled close to Spencers' side, even though he wasn't as comfortable as I was with touching he had his arm draped around my shoulders.
I sipped on my fruity cocktail, laughing at the flirtatious banter between Penelope and Derek. I knew sooner or later I would tell Spencer, for the thousandth time, that they belonged together, refusing to believe it was only platonic love.
It was trivia night at a bar downtown, close to the bureau. A place where you could usually find the team after a long case. Despite dating, who I believe is one of the smartest men alive, I was however nowhere in his intellectual league.
I had only participated in the trivia game once and after realizing my answer was so embarrassingly off the mark after JJ had made the biggest show of dissecting the question the way you would explain something to a small child, I decided my place would be in Spencers' side, scrolling on my phone.
I was taking selfies from under my chin, sending pictures of the inside of my nostril to my friends, laughing as I continued this for about five minutes until Spencer nudged me.
"Do you want a turn?" Spencer's lips touched my hairline, then pressing into the skin of my forehead. I smiled, looking into his hazel eyes, giving him a small kiss. JJ beat me to answer him.
"I thought we were wanting to win this week." She said loudly, staring at Spencer. He ignored her but Aaron gave her a stern look.
"No thank you, Spence, I like just listening." I grinned weakly. It wasn't a total lie, I liked to listen and try to retain as much information I could so I wouldn't be so caught off guard listening to Spencer talk.
It was more often than not I didn't understand him.
I didn't want to think I was as dumb as JJ had made me out to be but I'm beginning to see the more I hang around people who knew so much that maybe I was dumb.
"Y/N can win us some points no problem, right sugar." Derek smiled at me, sliding me the small notepad. JJ grabbed it before it made it to me.
"I'll just go, there are only a few questions left and I don't want to lose to uniforms again." She huffed.
"Jennifer," The silent standoff between Aaron and JJ went down as he called out a quick warning. A 'let's not make this any worse than it already is' look.
It was quiet again after that for a while, the verbal jabs turned into quick glares. Trivia wasn't going to be finished for maybe another hour and I don't know how much longer I could take JJ's hatred for me. I texted the group chats with my friends who sent me messages of support and some random tictocs to keep me entertained.
I thought about leaving, constantly, but I didn't want Spencer to be upset, I knew how much it meant to him for his work family to like me so instead I sat silently.
"Alright, folks we have a bonus question. On this day in 1921, the first-ever title for Miss America was given too-"
"Oh, I know that! Hey, Margaret Gorman won Miss America!" I jumped, it was the only thing I'd heard her in weeks that I would know.
"That is right, tell you what, I'll throw in another 50 points if you can tell me which state-"
"She was Miss Washington!" I pulled on Spencer's sleeve. I was surprised I would know anyone from the 'On this day' category. I barely knew what day it was in general.
"What did they teach you that in pageant school?" Jennifer huffed, erasing the answer she had previously written on the small board. I bit my lip, the excitement from finally getting a question right was not drowning in my gut.
"Hey, I think I'm gonna head out, it's starting to get pretty late," I whispered to Spencer as I gathered my small bag from between our bodies in the booth.
Spencer was at a loss for words, looking between me and JJ. I knew why she didn't like me, it was obvious but you'd think the fact that she has a husband and children she wouldn't be trying to sabotage the only decent relationship Spencer's had.
No one said anything until I was leaving, hushed tones followed me after that.
"Jennifer," Hotch warned again.
"Oh what, it was just a joke." She breathed.
I was at least out of the door before the frustrated tears spilled. I kicked the stones by my feet. Angrily smacking on my phone screen to text about the bittersweet moment.
I almost screamed when I felt a hand touch my shoulder, instead nearly jumping out of my skin, ready to throw a fist, but it was just Spencer.
"Jesus, you nearly gave me a heart attack." I tried to hide my face, turning back around to wipe the slick tears.
"Did you know women under the age of 50 are twice as likely to die from a heart attack than men of the same age?" Spencer listed the fact almost automatically, fiddling with his fingers.
"No, I didn't, I apparently don't know a lot of things." I half-heartedly joked. My mind still thinking about the abusive jabs from JJ.
"That's not true," He frowned, walking next to me as I walked to my car. "You know a lot of things."
"Like what, I don't know any of the questions they ask here, I never understand your guys' conversations, even the basic ones. I feel so stupid around you guys." I huffed, struggling to find my car keys in the small bag.
"Here." He handed me the pink keychain.
"I don't even have enough brain cells to remember to grab my keys." I scoffed. Taking them from his hand and unlocking the car in front of us.
"Actually the human brain is made up of about 86 billion brain cells."
"Thank you Spence." I wasn't mad at him, or at least I was trying not to be.
"I'm sorry." I closed my eyes, twisting the metal keys between my fingers.
"I'm not angry with you," I told him, kissing his cheek. "I just think I've had enough of being the circus show tonight."
"You know JJ doesn't really think you're dumb." He told me, holding my face in place. I furrowed my eyebrows.
"I find that hard to believe."
Lingerie // Spencer Reid x Reader

"Really? Y/N?" Morgan asked JJ as they walked together toward Rossi's home.
"That's what Reid said," she replied with a grin.
"But she's always so...covered up. I have no clue as to what her body looks like," Morgan replied with a frown.
"And? It's really none of your business what she looks like underneath," JJ replied with a knowing smirk.
The reality was that you had a beautiful body but after years of nonstop catcalling you had decided that enough was enough. You opted for comfort over fashion and although you still had a lovely face, almost no one had seen what was underneath.
No one except for JJ, who you frequently spent your weekends with. And like any woman, she loved to play dress up and had shoved you into various of her own dresses if only to see you properly dressed for a moment.
"Hey guys," you greeted from your seat on the couch. They weren't surprised to see you lounging in an oversized sweater and baggy sweatpants- your trademark for the winter.
Spencer was seated next to you, smiling brightly as the rest of the team walked in. It was one of those days that everyone had decided to get together for dinner and drinks.
"I think we should play truth or dare," a very drunk Emily suggested. There were cheers all around as everyone embraced the idea.
"Alright, Y/N. Truth or dare?" Emily asked with a huge grin.
"Truth," you replied as you took another sip of wine. You weren't nearly as intoxicated as she was and found her slurred words to be amusing.
"You're no fun," she pouted.
"I have one," Morgan interrupted. "Why do you always wear baggy clothing?"
"Because men are pigs," you replied with a laugh. The woman all cheered in agreement at your statement. Hotch smiled at the small group.
"Reid, truth or dare?" Penelope asked with a hiccup. Spencer was in a similar state to you as he barely drank anything. The two of you exchanged a look of amusement at the rest of the team. They were all drunk except for Hotch who still sat with his first beer.
"Truth," he replied not wanting to imagine what kind of dares Morgan would think of for him. The man was still trying to get him back after Spencer had blown up his coffee in his face. How? Simple science. But you and Spencer had found it to be funnier than their friend did.
"Tell us who you like," Morgan said with a knowing smile. Spencer immediately turned to look at JJ as she shied away from his accusatory look. She was the only one who knew anything about his growing feelings for you.
"Y/N," he finally replied after a moment of silence. The team erupted into cheers at his confession, their approval obvious as you blushed.
"Okay Y/N, truth or dare?" Emily asked again.
"Wait, isn't it someone else's turn?" you asked in confusion. Emily shook her head, placing a finger on your lips as she drunkenly shushed you.
"Truth or dare?" she asked once more. You frowned knowing that they would most likely try to drag some sort of confession out of you about liking Spencer. The only one who knew was Hotch and he had always kept your secret. You wouldn’t expect anything less from him.
"Dare."
Morgan grinned wildly and you gulped, already regretting your decision. This was not going to end well.
"I dare you to go into that room and strip off your clothes," he said with a huge smile.
"Okay..." You replied as you stood in confusion. It didn't seem like much of a dare. Maybe Morgan had lost his mischievous touch due to his alcohol intake.
"With Reid inside with you," Morgan added.
Nope, there it was.
Your eyes widened at the thought of having to strip in front of Spencer. He had never seen you in anything but baggy clothing. Deep down you knew that if you wanted to have a relationship with the man, he’d have to see you eventually.
You turned to Spencer and noticed his eyes bulging out of his head at the dare. Of course, he was too innocent.
"Come on Spence," you said strongly, glaring at Morgan who couldn't stop laughing. He looked startled at your agreement but nodded and followed you to the next room.
"You don't have to do it. I'll just tell them you did," Spencer said as soon as you closed the door.
"No. I'll do it," you replied confidently. "And you'll take a picture of it and send it to Morgan because I’ll be damned if he thinks I’m ashamed of my body.”
"Are you sure?" Reid asked as he scratched the back of his neck. "I don't think yo-"
He immediately stopped talking as you lifted your sweater off, revealing your bare torso. He gulped as he looked at you, your breasts full in roundness n a black lacy bra with a red bow in the middle as if you were a gift.
"Y/N..." He said softly as he took in every curve. He had no idea that you were even more beautiful beneath the clothing you wore. He had fallen in love with the conversations you held with him, with your personality. Your body was now just a plus.
"Not done yet," you replied as you held a finger up. You quickly threw your sweatpants off and Spencer's eyes widened as he looked at you. You stood in front of him with matching black panties complete with garter belt and thigh high stockings.
If Spencer didn't know better he would have thought you belonged in the centerfold of a magazine.
"Do you always wear that underneath?" He asked in astonishment. His hands itched to touch your skin as you let out a small laugh at his surprise.
"Yes I do. I have to feel pretty some way."
“You’re always pretty.”
You smiled as you strode over to Spencer and pulled his phone out of his shirt pocket. You opened up the camera app and handed it back to him.
"Go on. Take pictures," you said with a cheeky smile. He grinned and did so as you posed in various ways ranging from sultry to downright goofy.
"Alright. All done," Spencer said as he opened up his messages to send the photos to Morgan.
"Not quite," you replied as you strode over to him and sat on his lap. His cheeks turned a red color as you wrapped one of his arms around your waist and grabbed the phone from his hand.
Spencer stared at you with a mix of confusion and lust as you leaned in and kissed him. His body reacted instantly as he wrapped his arm around you tighter while his other hand tangled into your hair as he deepened the kiss.
The two of you finally pulled away after minutes of making out, breathless and hot. He smiled as he kissed your cheek in a much more innocent manner.
"Be mine?" He asked.
"Of course," you nodded eagerly before turning back to his phone. You clicked on a few pictures and sent them to Morgan, turning the screen to show Spencer a photo of the two of you in a heated kiss.
"I like that one," he said with a small proud smirk. You giggled as you heard footsteps approaching, a loud knock interrupting the look the two of you shared.
"Let's go to my place," Spencer suggested as he placed kisses along your jawline. “Not for sex. I just want to be alone with you.”
You nodded in agreement. A night spent with Spencer was exactly what you needed.
"Reid! You better not be having sex in Rossi's room man," Morgan said through the door. The two of you laughed before you redressed and opened the door. Morgan stared you up and down as his eyes tried to picture what he had seen in the photos Reid has sent.
"We'll be going now," Reid said with a smirk as he pulled you behind him. You chuckled as he led you out of the house, the team stopping their conversation to wolf whistle at the two of you as you noticed Morgan's phone being passed around.
"Someone's getting lucky tonight," Rossi chuckled as the two of you left.
Morgan smirked as his phone was handed back to him, the photo of your makeout session on the screen.
"Kid has more game than I thought."
Doctor Visits // Spencer Reid x Reader
Drabble # 27 from this list
Prompt: “I’m pregnant.”
Requested by: nemesissigyn
Spencer held your hair out of your face as you heaved into the toilet once more, ridding your stomach of the food you had just eaten. You sighed as you sat back and wiped your mouth.
"This is the third time this week. Maybe you should go to a doctor," Spencer said worriedly.
"I don't like doctors," you whined as you leaned against his legs. He leaned down, pushing your hair behind your ears and noting the bags beneath your eyes.
"You haven't been sleeping either," he commented as he helped you stand. He led you back to the bed as you rolled underneath the covers.
"I'm going to call the doctor to make you an appointment," he said as he tucked you in. "Do not argue with me," he said sternly when you opened your mouth to protest. You frowned but nodded in agreement.
You waited anxiously for the doctor to return. He had tested you for food poisoning and it had come up negative so you'd had some blood work done. You stared at the harsh white walls, wanting nothing more than to be home and in bed. The door opened and in came your doctor.
"Well Ms. Y/N, you're not sick. You're pregnant," he said with a smile. Your eyes widened in shock.
"I'm pregnant?" You asked in surprise.
"Yes about a month along now. Are you still taking your birth control pills?" He asked.
"No, I stopped them when I was on antibiotics for an ear infection over a month ago," you said in realization. "I guess condoms really aren't 100% huh?"
The doctor laughed at your comment and shook his head.
"No, they aren't. Here are some pamphlets regarding pregnancy and what symptoms you may develop. Follow the guidelines and make an appointment with your OB/GYN for your check up," he instructed. "Congratulations Y/N. Motherhood is a beautiful thing."
"Thanks," you said with a small smile before shoving the pamphlets into your purse. You walked out to the waiting room where Spencer was seated with a book in his lap. His eyes looked up at the sound of the door opening and he quickly gathered his things.
"So? What's wrong?" He asked as you stepped outside.
"Nothing is wrong," you replied as you opened the passenger side of the car. Spencer frowned as he got into the driver's side and turned the car on.
"Then what is it?" He asked in confusion as he pulled out into the street.
"I could really go for some ice cream right now," you replied as you spotted the shop up the street. "Can we?"
"Oh. Yeah, sure," he agreed as he parked once again. He watched you curiously as you ordered your mountain of rocky road ice cream before skipping back into the car.
"Y/N," he started again as he drove. You hummed happily as you ate your ice cream, savoring the small marshmallow bits.
"This is so good," you said as you continued to eat. "Want some?"
Spencer shook his head as he finally pulled into the apartment parking lot. He stared as you bounced into the building and up the stairs with newfound energy.
"Y/N, what did the doctor say?" Spencer asked once you had stepped into your apartment. You sighed as you threw yourself onto the couch.
"Baby."
"Now is not the time for your pet names Y/N. I'm worried about you and you can't just keep-"
"No silly," you interrupted with a laugh, "I'm pregnant. We're having a baby."
Spencer's eyes widened as he threw himself onto the floor in front of you. His hands reached out before landing on your stomach as he looked at you in surprise.
"You're pregnant?"
"Yes."
"But we used protection," he commented with wide eyes.
"A genius like you should know that it's not always 100% effective," you replied with a smile.
"I'm going to be a father," he whispered as he looked between you and your stomach. You smiled broadly as you nodded your head.
"I'm going to be a father!" He beamed as he jumped up in excitement. "And you're going to be a mom!"
You laughed at his joyous outburst before his face turned panicked.
"Oh my god. Oh god, this is happening," he said as he began to panic. You stood and placed a hand on his chest.
"Breathe Spencer. Breathe," you reminded as he took deep breaths.
"I have to get books," he said as he turned to look at you, "I have to prepare!"
You laughed as Spencer gathered his things once again, dragging you out of your home and to the nearest bookstore.
