These Asian Pulled Pork Wraps are a delicious fusion of flavors, combining tender marinated pork with crunchy coleslaw and aromatic herbs. The Asian-inspired marinade adds a savory and slightly spicy kick to the dish, making it a perfect choice for a quick and satisfying meal.
Ingredients: 1 lb pork shoulder, boneless. 1/4 cup soy sauce. 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon ginger, grated. 1 tablespoon brown sugar. 1 teaspoon sesame oil. 1/2 teaspoon five-spice powder. 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste. 4 large tortillas or wraps. 2 cups coleslaw mix cabbage and carrots. 1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves. 1/4 cup chopped green onions. Sriracha sauce optional, for extra heat. Vegetable oil for cooking. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, brown sugar, sesame oil, five-spice powder, and red pepper flakes to make the marinade. Place the pork shoulder in a zip-top bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight, turning the pork occasionally to ensure even marination. Preheat your grill or a pan over medium-high heat. Remove the pork from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. Season with salt and pepper. Cook the pork for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 145F 63C for medium-rare or longer if desired. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly. While the pork is resting, heat the tortillas or wraps according to the package instructions. To assemble the wraps, place a portion of sliced pork on each tortilla, followed by coleslaw mix, fresh cilantro leaves, and chopped green onions. Drizzle with Sriracha sauce if you like it spicy. Fold the sides of the tortilla in, then roll it up tightly, securing the wrap with parchment paper or foil if needed. Serve the Asian Pulled Pork Wraps immediately, and enjoy!
