That moment when Google calls you out on your bullshit
Naps are the best!
my friends when they ask me how my health is these days:
Things might not be the same for you anymore. You might feel and even look different than you're used to. But I wouldn't want you to be anybunny but you!
- @chronic-this
reading those body positivity posts that are like ‘don’t focus on how your body looks, focus on what it can do for you’ when you’re chronically ill is like
[gif description: drag queen bianca del rio asks drag queen trinity k bonet ‘let me ask you a very fair question: what do you do successfully?’
Image ID: the meme of the anime man holding out his hand to the butterfly. The man is labeled "my anxious, chronically ill ass", the butterfly is labeled "a slightly scratchy throat". The question posed at the bottom is "Is this normie sickness?"
CHRONICALLY ILL PEOPLE, LISTEN THE FUCK UP!!
Ok, I read this one book about a girl who had just been hospitalized for Crohn’s Disease. And it’s all in poetry-ish format. She talks about the pain the she goes through, and how she copes with the fact that she’s never getting better. And she has a roomate who’s had Crohn’s for around five years.
It’s called Two Girls Staring At The Ceiling, by Lucy Frank. You should really read it. Seriously.
