.r.emember to hold on.... Your goals are only a whisper away. That whisper to yourself is "patience and perseverance". Rome was not built in a day, nor did it fall in one. Slow and steady wins the race. So, I train yoga and I'm in the gym upwards of 5-10 hours/week @stormstrength and @shalayoga and I commune with nature when I can. After my injury I started with gentle yoga @shalayoga and @oneyogavan to regain some lost range of motion (ROM). I was hoping yoga was the be-all end-all and would remove my pain.... Alas the world has no silver bullet for anything, it arrives via compromise, hard work, compassion towards the self, and patience. If there's anything I've learned from my education is that injury rehab and elite performance take time, concentrated effort over years and willpower to move through the everyday challenges.... So, I also added some lengthening of my tendon sheaths and fascial line lengthening through Yin yoga and restorative then added in some dynamic range by doing some Hatha and Vinyasa practice... and now I am including some strength training to increase some lean muscle mass. Pranayama breathwork has helped me reduce pain and increase my capacity for work. Yoga and strength training are truly a match made in heaven for athletes, but also for the everyday joe/jill and ESPECIALLY for anyone with injuries. #squamishfit #squamishstrength #squamishyoga #squampton #yogaeveryday #fitnesseveryday #fitnesseverywhere #fitnesstips #fitnesstraining #programming #sportscience #workouts #yogafit #leanmuscle #functionaltraining #strongandbendy #ROM #rangeofmotion #rehabilitation #rehabwork #recoverygangster #injuryrehab #athletes #yin #hatha #vinyasa #pranayama #transformah #RAWr Www.
