a little 300 word star charts drabble, GP pov (Centuri GP, not nannybot)
There aren't many alarms that can wake Gianpiero out of a deep sleep. Really, there's only two— Max's alarm, which he hasn't heard in years, and Kimi's alarm.
He groans, slapping a hand out to the right and silencing it as he sits up. It's a bit earlier than he normally wakes up, but he spends most of his time working while he monitors Max in the biogel, so a few hours discrepancy doesn't matter here or there. He pulls on a jumper, scrubbing a hand across his face with a sigh as he drags himself out of bed.
It feels like he's aging at a faster speed ever since Max went into the biogel, and he doesn't like it. He stares at himself in the bathroom mirror for a moment, frowning at the new wrinkle in his brow.
It's short work to get ready to head to the facility, and he pulls out his datapad as he steps onto transport, one ear twitching as he hits the bright red notification, muttering quietly to himself.
"What've you gotten yourself into now..."
The corner of his mouth twitches when he spots how many credits have been put on Kimi's bounty— the kid doesn't even realize when he's breaking the laws, if Gianpiero had to guess. Twelve counts of trespassing, eight counts of evading law enforcement, and fourteen for public endangerment and reckless piloting.
Well, Max's attitude was always going to rub off on him. At least Kimi's bounties are easier to get rid of. He starts running a few of his background processes responsible for catching and eliminating any notifications about the new bounty, as well as a tracer to find out who'd set it. If he's lucky, it'll be someone easily bribed. If he's not lucky...
One less soul in the universe doesn't weigh particularly heavy on his conscience.
