feeling absolutely horrible today, plus I missed out on a really cool storm the other night- so I decided to channel my upset + anger into a storm calling. which was exhausting. but I used the leftovers to make a Storm-In-A-Jar that I think turned out pretty neat. sleepy now; gonna have to combat the exhaustion so I’m not just a puddle when the husband comes home.
Tornado Protection Spell Jar
What You'll Need:
Jar with a lid
Candle(s); to seal the jar
Grey yarn; represents the storm clouds
Yellow yarn; represents the sun
Stones that have seen storms before
Black Pepper; to protect against the storm and banish the bad weather
Coffee; for grounding, protection, and boost the energy of the spell
Garlic; to ward off the bad weather
Lemon Juice; to remove negativity and this herb has a connection to water
Majoram; to ward off the bad weather, for purification, and because this herb has a connection to the air
Salt; to protect against and banish the bad weather
Sage; to protect against the weather and ground the spell
Junipr; for protection and to maintain health throughout the storm
Lavender incense; the smoke will represent the storm clouds, the lavender scent is for calming to calm the storm.
Rose oil; for love. Adding this connects the spell to the ones we love. I believe this ingredant adds to all protection spells.
Rain water or Storm water
A sigil of protection. The one I have on the jar reads "protect against tornados and floods"
Steps:
Clean out and prep your jar and get your ingredants ready
Create your sigil and attach it to your jar
Layer your herbs and materials in the jar. (I layered them Coffee grounds, stones, junipr, sage, salt, black pepper, garlic, marjoram, lemon juice, rose oil, Storm water, some more junipr (just because I have alot))
Light the lavender inscent and drop it in, cap it quickly to capture as much smoke in the jar as possible.
Wrap the grey yarn arounf the opening of the jar.
Wrap the yellow yarn over the grey yarn to show that the sun will come soon
Light the candle(s) and let them melt down to seal the jar
Sprinkle a little bit of sage and salt into the melted wax to boost the protection aspect of the jar.
Stay safe and remember this jar won't save your life. Get to shelter and act smartly. Edit this jar for any natural disaster you may be worried about in your area (add earth herbs for earthquakes and fire herbs for wildfires)
Good luck and stay safe.
Hey all...
Can whoever pissed off the storm witch please, PLEASE apologize. Ok, thanks, bye 😘
Witch Story
Once I saw the overcast weather and thought that a tornado would be real nice. Without thinking I make a quick spell up and in the next hour my area is under a tornado watch. True story. Sometimes magic comes to you.
Protection from the Wrathful Sea
Protection from a hurricane
With Hurricane Florence on the way, I decided to create a protection spell. Let’s hope it works!
Ingredients: ash, bay leaves, black pepper, mint, and sea salt (or salt) AND/OR any other protection ingredients of your choice
Steps:
combine ingredients in a jar, seal tightly, mix well.
carry jar and a cup of salt with you, and walk the perimeter of the area you wish to protect.
as you walk, repeat the following: “Mother Goddess hear my plea, keep at bay the wrathful sea, shield this house in your wings, keep at bay all stormy things, when the sky comes down, we look to Thee, protect us from rain, wind, and tree. Please accept from me this offering.”
After each repetition, cast salt along the perimeter that you are walking.
Repeat until you have covered the entire perimeter.
Afterwards, set jar of ingredients either with your altar or (if you don’t have one) somewhere of importance. Repeat the plea/prayer whenever you feel the urge to do so. After the storm has passed, you may offer up the rest of the contents of the jar to the Mother Goddess or whichever being or higher purpose you prayed to.
