oh okay. cool. awesome. so we’re just speedrunning the worst possible take category now.

first of all: that is not edgy, it’s not dark humor, it’s not “understanding the show.” it’s just saying something deeply messed up and expecting a round of applause because you attached it to stranger things like that magically makes it media literacy.

second: trauma is not a ✨plot device✨ you get to fantasize about because you like a character’s angst. you don’t “get” sexual violence like it’s a quirky character arc or a deluxe emotional upgrade. this is not a build-a-bear workshop.

third: if your enjoyment of a show requires wishing sexual assault on a character, you are not a complex fan. You need therapy! Like, RIGHT NOW!!!!!!

and finally, before anyone says “it’s just fiction”: yeah. and you’re still weird for saying it. fictional characters don’t exist but real survivors do, and they still have to read your goofy little grape emoji tweets while scrolling.

anyway. stranger things is about friendship, growing up, monsters, and 80s bikes. not whatever this is. please go outside. please touch grass. please read one (1) post about empathy.
