Vegan Strawberry Sandwich Cookies
The strawberry patch did horrbile last year. It's true that I didn't have much time for them and they were taken over by weeds, but at some point I thought I'd have to take them all out, turn the soil and plant again.
They seem to be healthy this spring and slowly recovering. There aren't many plants left, but they put out runners easily, so I expect them to spread nicely by autumn.
I'm glad I didn't have to start over. This is a very good variety (Clery). They're flavourful and sweet, firm and last 1-2 weeks after picking.
