In an effort to study for my stage test, which is potentially tomorrow, I rewrote some of my notes into my new baby binder which I adore.
I’m joined by my new succulent collective, water and seaweed snack
although i’m quite concerned because the soil is covered by a layer of small rocks that seem stuck together, so I’m hoping I’m watering this okay...
If anyone has tips please share!
I did my french homework this morning, and also completed two lessons from talk to me in korean and I reviewed by norwegian Vocab from tinycards.
Do you guys recommend I get a textbook for Korean and Norwegian? I feel kinda lost with this self study thing
I hope everyone had a great monday!
19/100 days of productivity (8.21.17)
some photos of my homework for AP US Government and Politics! I’m actually really excited for this class even though I know very little about politics, as well as the class being so difficult (for some reason this makes me more excited??) we’re starting off with political thinking and tbh it makes my brain hurt a little hehe
Doing things yourself pt2: Reflexive pronouns
Reflexive pronoun: a pronoun that refers back to the subject; used to show the object and the subject of a sentence are the same. The equivalent of these in English are the words ending in -self and -selves (myself, itself, ourselves...)
je me
tu te
il/ell/on se
nous nous
vous vous
ils/elles se
reflexive pronouns come after the subject pronoun and before the verb
ex: Je me coiffe dans le miroir.--> I do my hair in the miroir
Here are the ending results for my mom’s birthday festivities.
I say ending, at the time of this picture, cookies were getting over baked in the oven, and just about as many meringues were waiting their turn.
The cake is a gluten-free lemon cake with raspberry filling and raspberry buttercream. It’s decorated with fresh flowers, raspberries and meringue letters.
I thought the cream tasted a bit too buttery but she liked it so that’s all that matters.
So here is an actual update on what I’ve been up to recently.
I turned 18 and it was the first birthday that I felt that something was different. I am not articulate enough to describe why, maybe because it also means that college is sooner (91) days as of this post. I never really do much for my birthdays in the first place, so having one in quarantine wasn’t that big of a deal for me.
In the time after I registered to vote because that is something that is important to me, and I was gifted a the Samsung Active 2 from the people that I babysit for. That was something that I was NOT expecting and I was so thankful that they thought that me working for them was worth that much. Keep in mind that this is an almost 300 dollar watch. I almost felt like I couldn’t accept it.
That actually leads me into the post that I made yesterday. I decided that I would go ahead and get the tablet that I wanted because I had gotten a decent amount of savings because of babysitting, my job and birthday money. I had a hard time with it for some reason, I kept feeling like I shouldn’t spend that much money because I with my first job I don’t actually make that much money. My original plan was to wait until it was on sale for like Cyber Monday and get that and the watch then but there was a flash sale yesterday and I decided that I would get it then. It actually made more sense, because I would be able to start the semester with it instead of having to wait until I was two months in.
It took me a while to realize that I am allowed to spend my money on my self, It was something that I told myself that I would save up for and I had enough money to by it and not be absolutely broke by the end. So that should be here in a few days, and I will for sure make a post about it and maybe even try to film an unboxing video.
I also did some work on the icon and banner for my Tumblr and I really like the way that they look. I had a lot of fun with them and I think they are a but more inline with what I want my page to look like. The next thing that I want to do is to try to make my own theme, but I think that that will be something that I do over time.
I think that the final part of my revamp is to come up with an new post style. I want to move towards a very minimal appearance, but I also love reading posts like this. I might start posting what I am reading and maybe my thoughts on different books. I am going to start studying Microbiology on my own so that I can have a better understanding of what it is that I want to do with that as my major, so I might make informational posts about what I learn there and show off my notes about that. I’m not sure yet, I just know that there are a lot of things that I want to do and I just need to do them.
But that’s my little update. I’m babysitting now and it’s raining, so I think I’m going to find something to watch while the kiddo plays his game. I hope that you all have a productive day, stay safe, and remember that I’m cheering for you!
Some tips on how to sleep better at night!
