عشقیست دَوارِ چَرخ، نَزْ آب
عشقیست مَسیرِ ماه، نَزْ پا
Love turns the wheel, not water, love carries the moon, not feet.

Original artwork and calligraphy by S J Thomas. This piece is available as a limited edition print. If you are interested email me via www.palmstone.com/contact “The breezes at dawn have secrets to tell you Don't go back to sleep! You must ask for what you really want. Don't go back to sleep! People are going back and forth across the doorsill where the two worlds touch, The door is round and open Don't go back to sleep!” این باد سحر محرم رازست مخسب هنگام تفرع و نیاز است مخسب بر خلق دو کون از ازل تا به ابد این در که نبسته است باز است مخسب
“Know that when you learn to lose yourself, you will reach the Beloved. There is no other secret to be learnt, and more than this is not known to me.” ― Ansari of Herat

The Mawqif of Emir Abd Al Qadir (of Algeria)
Abd Al Qadir Al Djazairi was a military leader, a scholar of Islam and a 'Sufi' spiritual master. He fought the French colonial armies of Napoleon in Algeria, defeating every Army he encountered for 15 years until a betrayal saw him captured and sent to a French Prison. 250 of the French prison guards converted to Islam while watching over him as a prisoner. A town in Iowa, USA was named after him after he saved 100+ Armenian Christian's from riots in Ottoman lands. He shares a Busqe with the founder of the Red Cross in their main building in Switzerland, because the international rules of conduct in war drew largely from his conduct against the invading French, which he himself attributed to the Sharia and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad.
