Who said “I love you” first They don’t remember. As friends it was always just sort of a thing they said, and because their relationship progressed naturally (without a discussion of okay we’re dating now) they just never stopped saying it.
Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background Ayla. It’s a selfie with Salu pressed cheek to cheek with the dog-ear filter and a bunch of emoji hearts.
Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror Neither. Salu’s almost always up first, and Ayla’s not a morning person, so chances are she’ll stumble in and out of the bathroom and be too tired to see it.
Who buys the other cheesy gifts Ayla. When Salu was gone (for the whole military shebang) Ayla started picking up random knick-knacky gifts for her, and just didn’t stop when she returned.
Who initiated the first kiss Salu. It was kinda an accident. Salu was late for something and was just like “look, babe I’ve got to go” and gave Ayla a quick goodbye kiss, and that was how they had their first kiss in front of the entire Legion. (Salu realized what she’d done a good 5 minutes later)
Who kisses the other awake in the morning Salu. Once. It was an attempt to get Ayla up without her rolling over and stuffing her head back in the pillow. It didn’t work.
Who starts tickle fights Ayla. Both of them are super ticklish, as they found out in Legion-Girls-Sleepover Nights way back when.
Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower Both. Post-work out shower sex is like their favorite thing ever.
Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch Neither. Their jobs don’t really allow for that.
Who was nervous and shy on the first date Neither. Again, this is because their relationship grew very naturally. (But their first ‘official’ date was out to an amusement park for the day where they both ate way too much 31st century ice cream, tried to out-scary ride each other, and finished by watching the sunset from the top of the ferris wheel)
Who kills/takes out the spiders Neither. Salu leaves them be. Ayla scoops them up and puts them outside, loudly announcing how she’s faced tougher foes as Light Lass/Lightning Lass/Spark. (This is because Garth is scared of spiders and she loves to rub it in his face.)
Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk Ayla. Salu doesn’t drink, so she’s always the designated driver/take people home-r, and she thinks it’s the cutest thing.
