Thinking about Lena and Kara’s first time having sex and Kara being scared of hurting her. Lena would definitely put some red lamps so that Kara doesn’t hold back because Lena likes it rough. 😏
Kara calls Conner “Little Super” and it quickly devolves into “Lil Supe” then just “Soup.”
The confusion it causes for aliens learning English is half the fun for Kara because when they figure out Super > Supe > Soup, they are just like Where is the joke? Why is that funny? Why are you still laughing?? And that’s their intro to homophones.
“If you think about it,” Kara, drunk, under a red sun lamp with Lena, “He was basically a Super Luthor soup in a tube.”
“I don’t think Conner would like being reminded of that,” Lena says, tipping her head as she thinks about it.
Kara rolls her eyes and shows Lena a photo. “This was his Halloween costume.”
Just a photo of Conner in a Campbells canned soup costume with the El crest on it. “He’s fine. Kal-El’s parents were Kryptonian supremacists, mine raised me on an asteroid and died with the rest of them, a test tube might be the least traumatic origin.”
“You forget that’s my brother’s DNA.”
“Eh,” Kara shrugs, “You share his DNA and you turned out pretty good…” She clears her throat awkwardly as Lena tries to not look like that’s the kindest thing anyone’s said to her in months, maybe years.
“Well, you turned out pretty good too. Pretty super.”
“Wow, I’ve never heard that before,” Kara says, throwing a wine cork at Lena.
The laughter fades into something softer. Then Kara’s phone rings and it’s Superman, so before she answers, a little wobbly getting to her feet, she says, “One sec,” and disappears for 10 seconds and returns completely sober.
“Just needed a yellow sun reset,” she says before answering the call. She smirks and is about to leave after but gives Lena an awkward hug they both needed before jetting off to help Superman.
Kara knowing Lena is stressed because she starts to stutter
okay so i dont know if i got this completely correct but i did my best:)
---
“Are you okay?” Kara asks. “You sound different– is something wrong?”
Lena shakes her head and slides her thumbnail back and forth between her chin and bottom lip. Her cheeks are flushed and one leg is pulled protectively into her chest, the other planted on the floor in case she needs to make a hasty escape.
They’re half way through a game of Guess Who, played by just the two of them since Alex and Sam had to cancel on gamenight last minute. On Lena’s first turn to guess she began to stumble, unable to get her words out without them all getting tangled on her tongue.
By the third round of guesses, she can tell Kara’s noticing– can tell she’s thinking about it which is even worse. When she finally asks, all Lena wants to do is put her head under a pillow and suffocate until she dies.
“I- I’m okay,” Lena says. She looks down and blushes even harder.
The last time she spoke to someone about this she was only fifteen– speaking to yet another psychiatric evaluator so Lillian could get to the bottom of whatever the hell was wrong with her.
She isn’t in the mood to bring it up again. She doesn’t even know how.
After all, they never found anything. After the diagnosis of a speech disorder at four and years of therapy that followed, no further conclusions were made. The lack of answers had always enraged Lillian– no child should’ve been behaving the way Lena did, which meant there had to have been some sort of malformation or contingency causing her to be so… her.
“Are you sure?” Kara asks and for a second, Lena feels herself melt a bit. “You can tell me if there is.”
Lena nods.
It’s been ten years and she still isn’t sure how she felt about the whole thing. She makes sure to stay hyper-conscious of each word she speaks and each action she makes to avoid the same mistakes she’d made with the Luthors. So that nobody else will ever look at her again and think yes, she must be a bit screwy in the head or wonder why she can’t just be normal.
Thinking about Lena and Kara as the best parents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Zora’s finally down,” Kara announces with a whisper, exhaustedly flopping onto her end of the couch. “Ten p.m., and all the kids are unconscious.”
Lena snorts, shifting a bit so she can comfortably curl up on her end. She props herself up with a few rearranged pillows and stretches out until her achy feet rest in Kara’s lap. “God, don’t say it like that.”
“Pretty good for our first time babysitting all four of them though, huh?” Kara counters with a grin. Her hands instinctively move to rub her wife’s swollen feet, sore from an afternoon of chasing around Esme, her new foster sister, and James’s six-year-old twins.
Lena hums, eyes sinking shut as she relaxes under Kara’s touch. “I suppose so.”
“And hey, we learned our lesson—no apple juice squirt guns.”
When Kara finally got home late that night (rather early that morning), she found Lena asleep on the couch after what appeared to be consuming half a bottle of wine. Just further evidence of how they’d both had a pretty lousy day.
She showered and dressed for bed in a flash, which then led to her stuck midway between the bedroom and Lena who was still blissfully sprawled out on the couch in sweats she’d clearly pilfered from Kara’s wardrobe.
Should she carry her to bed? It would wake her. She looked so peaceful. And if her day was half as bad as Kara’s, she didn’t want to disturb her.
But...
Kara turned off the lights and laid down next to her on the couch. Wrapping around her snugly, an easy roll had Kara slip underneath with Lena half on top, comfortably ensconced in Kara’s arms, her head pillowed on her chest. Lena stirred just enough to mumble something incoherent, but she seemed to know it was Kara without waking fully, and clutched at her with a contented little sigh before falling back into a deep slumber.
It felt like her heart might burst and melt from happiness all at once. Kara nosed into Lena’s hair and breathed her in, finally ready to leave the day behind them both.
--
Lena shifted on top of her sleepily, but it was the groan got her attention. Kara’s eyes snapped open, awake in an instant. It’d only been a couple hours, but the sun had already risen.
“Are you all right?”
“Just casualties of falling asleep on a couch.” Her sleep mussed hair was draped over half her face. “These human muscles of mine are not faring well.” She huffed. “Why did you let me do this to myself?”
“Me?”
“Yes, you,” Lena grumbled. She planted a hand on Kara’s chest and awkwardly pushed herself into a sitting position, rubbing the back of her neck with a grimace. “Why didn’t you just carry me to bed?”
Kara felt her cheeks heat slightly. “I...I didn’t know what you would want so I just...” She trailed off with a helpless gesture.
Lena looked down at their entangled predicament in the early morning light, blearily rubbing her eyes, and tried to stretch her back with another stifled groan.
“I’m sorry,” Kara said dolefully and reached for her waist, “I should have--”
Lena’s hand over her mouth cut off the rest. “Darling, if I ever make the mistake of falling asleep somewhere that is not a warm and comfortable bed, I give you my most enthusiastic and hearty consent in perpetuity to carry me there.”
Grinning, Kara parted her lips with her own in a deep, luxurious, and decidedly enthusiastic kiss.
“Noted.”
Heads touching with a sweet nuzzle of noses, Lena’s adoring gaze washed over her with more warmth than the morning sun could ever hope for. Lazy fingers combed through silky dark hair.
“Can I take you there now?”
“And then to a chiropractor later.”
Kara frowned. “You humans are so fragile.”
“You take good care of us anyway.”
With Lena cradled securely in her arms, she rose from the couch. “I’ll have to do better with one in particular.”
“This particular one is starting to feel better already.”
“Yeah?”
“Oh yes.”

1. What goes around comes around
Kara had never been one to think of consequences. Generally preferring a ‘punch first, ask later’ sort of approach. But this situation she’d dug herself into with Lena seemed to involve no punching and all asking, and Kara is thoroughly out of her element. fighting she could handle, she’s always fighting something, but talking? No, talking was different.
You know, I am definitely not a writer. I don´t know how to spin a story with beginning, middle and meaningfull end (every time I am trying to write something I get tangled up in a plot and every inspiration goes to hell). But time to time I have this little scenes in my head and I think it´s time I put them out..
There is lazy sunday morning in National City. Sun is shining through the curtains of a window in high level appartment. One rustive beam finds it´s way straight to Kara´s face and wakes her up. She doesen´t want to. Especially when she knows this would be one of a very few calm days in her life. Well there is always a chance for Supergirl emergency, but otherwise it should be one of those lazy days which she plan to spend in her apartment. When Kara turns her head slightly to the right side, she saw pool of dark head. She smiles to herself. One year ago it seems impossible for her to be here, in her bed with woman she loves. And yet here they are. Happy and in love.
“Good morning” said voice raspy with sleep . Kara smiles brighter. “Good morning. What are you doing up?” “Well, somebody is thinking so loud it woke me” came the mischievous reply. “What are you thinking about Kara?” come the soft question acompanied by soft hair tuck behind Kara´s ear. “Truth? About this. About us. About how much I can´t get enough of this. Of you in my bed next to me, sleeping peacefully. About how beautifull you look when you sleep with carefreenes and without fear. It seems almost imposibble we achive something like this. And I don´t want it to end. Ever. I love you Lena Luthor. More than I thought I would be able to love somebody.”
“And I love you Kara Zor-El. You definitely make my life brighter with every minute we are together. Even though it seems impossible few years ago. Hell even one year from now it seems like we would never overcome that barrier that rise between us. But I am so happy we made it.” Lena softly kiss Kara´s temple. “I know you are not very happy when somebody saying that but in my case it´s true. You are my sun. Your light shine through the darkness of my mind and of my soul. And I would be forever gratefull you never gave up on me. Even when things were at worst and I would definitely deseved to be gave up on and locked in some dark hole. Thank you for believing in me.” “Always”. Kara turn her head slightly and acompany her last words with soft kiss on Lena´s lips. “It´s still too early. Let´s go back to sleep, what do you say?” “Gladly, when I know that when I wake up, you still be here with me.”. Not long after that they both fall in peacefull happy sleep in each others arms.
