can anyone help me find this book?

this is a long shot, but i read this book a couple years back and for the life of me i cannot remember the title or author. it opens up with an elderly manager trying to get the band back together, and then he reminisces on the past. the bulk of the book is about an all-female swing band, with a focus on a few specific characters. i know the lead singer had a relationship with the manager, the drummer was a lesbian, and one of the women was in love with a drug addict and therefore was a drug addict herself. the lead singer eventually left the band to become a hollywood star, and at the very end of the book it jumps back to the present to show all of the women now. i believe the lesbian drummer had a long time partner but ended up passing away, and i think the lead had a son who passed away during a war or something. like i said, it’s a little foggy but i’m hoping to reread this book as well as use it for a history project so if anyone knows of any good ways to help me track it down i would greatly appreciate it!!
