Trying to keep track of new system members? This list updates regularly — the most recent update being 24 June 2026.

Since our host can't leave front in difficult situations, she is often "remote-controlled" or "Ratatouille'd" by another headmate (usually the newest one). Think of this headmate — or "operator", as we call them — as Mission Control telling the astronauts on a spaceflight what to do. Our current operator is Jon.

This list does not account for fragments, the anonymous, or members that have been dormant for a long time. You may see signoffs from names not listed here.

Some headmates are described as having a different age to the body. While we can have different levels of maturity, be introjects with canonical/factual ages, or display personality traits associated with certain age levels, we are all parts of the same (teenaged) whole, and generally, we function similarly.

Reminder: we are bodily underage. Do not flirt with us. Mildly sexual/crude humour is fine as long as it's clear that, for example, your jokes about "fucking the system" aren't implying you have genuine intent to fuck our system. (Tone indicators are useful here.)

Call us headmates, parts, stars, [the] others, or simply people. Some of us use "alter" internally, but we don't like it being used by those outside of the system.

We define "roles" as their purpose or objective (e.g. learning life skills, coping with family, being a friend), and "origins" as what caused them to form.

People's personalities and how they function in our system may not be what you expect of their role or origin. A persecutor could be genuinely bubbly and positive, a little might front specifically for complex philosophical debates, a caretaker could take care of us by venting anger rather than helping with hygiene or food, etc.

Regarding the first userbox: this has exceptions — if we develop someone very proud of their source, or from a particularly chill fandom, they have the right to be open about it if we agree it's safe. Just don't expect all of us to reveal our sources because one headmate has.

For example, Rocky doesn't really bother hiding his source because he likes seeing sourcemates (most of our introjects are very possibly the only ones of their kind; naturally we're all very happy for him), the fandom seems fairly tolerant of other fictives, and the movie adaptation's been insanely popular — including here on Tumblr — so there's not much point. His source's fanbase is large enough that simply being part of it isn't really enough of an identifying factor. In his case, getting to be himself is worth the risk of fakeclaiming/harassment.

Even if you know (or have a reasonable hunch) what a headmate's source is — hell, even if they say outright "My name is [Blorbo] and I am an introject from [Your Shows]" — do not tag the source's fandom. This allows more people to find us, and not all of them will be understanding of fictionfolk or of plurality in general. Jokes in the realm of "[The Character] would fucking say that" or "this is so [celebrity]-coded" on comedic/lighthearted posts are okay with us. And of course, introjects fronting in your own system are allowed to tag reblogs of our posts with their own sources. Even if we share a source, how you tag your own posts is up to you and will primarily affect your own blog. The safest way to tag our posts with sources (if you must) is to only tag them in context of plurality.

This means #phm fictive is fine — it's not a tag most fans would know exists unless they were familiar with plurality (and therefore more likely to accept it) or plural themselves. Because they aren't frequently used, non-standard tags (like #posts that remind me of phm, #another Rocky!!!, or #this is canon Grace told me himself) are also fine.

In contrast, #phm, #project hail mary, #rocky the eridian, etc — including when followed by seperate plural tags like #fictive or #introject — are not. Fandom references (e.g. #amaze amaze amaze) are a grey area. If you click on a tag and there's a lot of results for other posts using it, consider leaving it out (/not forcing; it's up to your own discretion) or writing the reference as a comment or reblog instead.

The host, core, and shell. Bodily-aged. "Fermi" is both her alias online, and our collective name. Instead of the usual going-dormant-breaking-into-fragments-and-forming-someone-new routine, her identity evolves gradually over time. She is winged (in a virtual angel way; fallen as in "imperfect and human", not fallen as in "corrupted" — it's complicated), starhearted, and has a digital mind.

Origin: Reawakened childhood hyperfixation Role: Positive role model who is also a bad influence

A music video fictive and internal selves-helper. Adult. Connected to her source, but has qualms towards the musician's newer creative decisions and endorsement of generative AI. Based more on fanon than canon (and even then, she gets more and more out-of-character every day /silly). Lily is connected to themes of archaeology (in the Indiana Jones way), ancient history, the social sciences in general, [dark/chaotic] academia, technology new and old, and mysteries of all sorts.

Jericho ✧ [she/they/any, including nounself pronouns]

Obscuronaut; looks for evidence of us having been through a highly specific form of trauma. Bodily-aged. Has higher energy and willpower than most of us, but this is often spent fighting the Symptoms. Jericho has a detective archetrope (partially in a "gritty, edgy, anonymous conspiracy theorist hacker" way and partially in a "2000s-2010s middle-school girls' book series" way), which factors into her presentation and the kinds of pronouns they prefer. Origin: [DATA EXPUNGED] Role: Thought/memory corrector, Jericho-wrangler

Avalon is a faucet or muckraker, able to function as a persecutor, protector, or caretaker depending on the situation. She is ageless, appearing as a young adult. Avalon deters Jericho and others from investigating our childhood, as she believes it's caused us to develop false memories. Her appearance is pretty vague, so she doesn't have any Picrews here (imagine a woman with long, wavy hair if she was solid, blinding light.) Dualimate of Jericho.

Syne ✧ [he/him]

Origin: Headphone 🎧👍 Role: sound technician who is full of The Shame

Internal DJ and musicative in charge of our innerworld's music and sound effects. Adult. Praesitive; not sourced nor unsourced but a secret third thing (vague amalgamation of all the artists and songs we liked as a kid; a megamashup and remix, if you would be so inclined). Music is a big part of how he communicates externally too, and you may recognise song lyrics or outdated memes in his conversations. Syne is deeply connected to beginner art(ists), the community of fandom, 2010s Internet nostalgia, and music in general. He likes to keep to himself — in fact, he's only listed here because he specifically requested it — and has no set appearance.

Antaeus (or Ant for short) ✧ [he/him]

Origin: comfort Role: energy and whimsy haver

Fictive from a kids' show. Middle (12-13); capable of discussing most heavy topics but uncomfortable with anything sexual. More social, upbeat, and energetic than the rest of us. He has a communicator-bracelet-thing he can use to talk to other characters from his source, but he doesn't consider their voices headmates at the time of writing this. He has a non-headmate companion (fish of the Pseudanthias bicolor variety) whom he carries in a special backpack.

Rocky ✧ [he/any — questioning]

Origin: Life is reason!!! Role: Rest encourager, sleep supervisor, holder of faith in humanity

Fictive; omniject of his source's original book [Weir 2021], the movie adaptation [Lord, Miller et al. 2026], and various bits of fanwork/headcanons. Do not expect him to be exactly the same as his source(s) or treat him like a fictional character. His alien species is specific to his source, and while there is actually a Picrew for it, he doesn't feel the need to use one. Speaks differently from us for fictive reasons — as the changes are in his speech patterns and vocabulary rather than his typing, they shouldn't interfere with screenreaders. We can still provide translations upon request.

Milo ✧ [he/him]

Origin: Hyperfixation, admiration, repetition Role: Googledebunking

Factive of an online science communicator. Swears a lot, may be blunt or use crude humour (unless talking directly to someone we know is uncomfortable with this). Interested in history, archaeology, nature, and social issues. Generally source-positive. While open to discussing his source, he requests that you don't treat him as though he were literally him (because he doesn't magically have all his expertise, memories, personality traits, etc), and that his existence is not revealed to his source or fanbase.

Jon ✧ [he/him]

Origin: *gestures vaguely at the current political climate* Role: ensure we live longer than an orange

Faitive/fucktive. Despite coincidentally sharing a first name and initials with a significant character, he has nothing to do with the Magnus Archives. Uncomfortable disclosing his source due to its target audience only knowing "plurality" as a type of voting, and disapproval/guilt towards some of his actions (though overall, he sees him as having done more good than bad). Enjoys using long and obscure words to feel more like himself. Definitions will be linked (like this) and explanations will be given if requested. Unfamiliar with some aspects of Tumblr culture due to being old insource.

Anyway, it's been 10 months since I found out I'm a system and that fact still trips me up sometimes.

-Watching, reading or playing your source material

-Making stimboards

- Make food preference lists, aesthetics and clothing preference lists

-Make foodboards of foods your fictives would like to eat!

- Make playlists

-Find activities or hobbies based on your fictives interests ( ie. If they like cute stuffed animals, sewing, etc etc )

- Headspace post! Allow your fictives to post and interact with new things!

-if you can, draw your fictive or their source mates!!

-Find scents that make your fictives feel more like themselves!! We use wax melts to feel more connected to ourselves sometimes!

-Read fanfiction of source material or write it! Only do this if comfortable though!

-Find and reach out to other fictives from your sources!!!

-Cook meals that your fictives will enjoy, it’s okay if it’s not much, even slight differences can help your fictives feel more at home and in control!

-Dress in clothes that you feel your fictives would like!! Or more their style!! Obviously this can be harder to do on a budget, even smaller jewelry can be nice!

-Using mannerisms from your fictive to draw them out!!! Mimicking can help them front if needed!

Obviously these aren’t required, I just feel there aren’t many posts giving fictives things to do to make themselves feel more at home in our world!!! I hope this helps anyone even slightly !!!
