Today's workout was tough. I knew it when I chose it though and wanted something to challenge me. As intimidating as it sounds, the trainer pushes you to last as long as you can. You go hard until you feel like you're spent. You record your time, catch your breath, and get back to it. Then, next time you do the workout, the challenge is to get past your last time before "maxing out." I'm not gonna lie.. more than once I told the trainer on my screen "no." There may have been a few "you gotta be kidding me"s in there also. (Shaun T pushes me harder than any trainer!) But I fought and grunted through it. With just a few minutes left he reminded me of when the work "begins." The changes don't come when I'm ho-humming around. They come when I meet my limits and push myself past them. That's why I chose this program today. Yes I have limits. I met them and moved on. And now I have a measuring point to help me progress next time.
