I did have thoughts of writing a fic where Scarlett is raised by Moonstone Cassandra in the black rock tower and despite loving her daughter dearly, Cassandra is extremely emotionally unstable, her mind completely lost to the moonstone and Zhan Tiri.

Cassandra tries her best to raise Scarlett, providing physical affection, singing to her, making her toys out of the rocks, but her mood swings and depression get in the way and she often loses her temper at things. She tries not to take things out on Scarlett and never hurts her in any way, but Scarlett is still afraid of her when she gets angry.

The only problem with this fic is that it raises way too many uncomfortable questions 😅.

1. How did Cass “do the deed” with the moonstone outfit on?

2. How did Cass give birth with the moonstone outfit on?

3. Wolf has to be in the picture because Scarlett exists, so why and how did Wolf get with Cass in her moonstone form and is he still living in the tower with them? Did he return to Harmony Glenn?

4. Did Zhan help raise Scarlett?

5. I assume Corona would be destroyed and Raps and the gang would be dead? Plus Est En Vous didn’t happen?

I know it’s just a fic but I think logistics are important 😂

y'all want to know what always makes me emotional? thinking about how arianna and frederic took cassandra in at the worst point in their entire life. i think about arianna particularly, i believe she had to convince frederic to let her stay. where he, at least at first, likely saw a bitter and painful reminder of his missing daughter, arianna saw a sweet and innocent child.

i mean really think about it for a sec--it wasn't long at all after rapunzel's disappearance, that cap must have gotten the official 'yes' to take cass as his ward. of course i feel bad for frederic in that time period, but i feel even moreso for arianna. carrying a baby for 9 months, almost dying to birth her, and then having her kidnapped is something i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. the pain she felt must have been utterly unbearable. think of how much grace and compassion she must have had to, immediately after losing her child, allow the captain of her guard to take on and raise an adopted daughter. even setting aside cass' lineage.

to be honest i think it largely speaks to the way they govern corona. sure cough frederic cough has his...moments, but generally they both act with benevolent intentions. cass is their subject but it'd have been easier in every sense of the word to cart her off to some orphanage. let's be real, king trevor would have done it in a heartbeat. but they allowed her to stay, they gave her a home. and that in and of itself, the fact that cass is a character in tangled the series and not just gothel's forgotten daughter, makes me oh so emotional. :')

“You’d be willing to fall from grace again, risk the pardon you were granted?” Gothel asked with what seemed like mocking surprise.

Eugene hesitated only for a second. “I’d do anything to save Rapunzel.”

Her eyes sparkled in the candlelight like liquid silver. “Anything at all?”

Gothel knew what she wanted from him, had known from the very beginning. She’d just been waiting for the right moment to strike, cataloguing every one of his reactions, making him desperate enough to promise anything away for this.

She held all the cards, and he was merely a spectator.

Well, he was already knee deep into this negotiation, and his statement was true anyway. If this could save Rapunzel’s life, Eugene would stop at nothing to grant her a chance.

He held Gothel’s eager gaze as he slowly nodded with just a hint of hesitation. Her answering grin made her look like a predatory cat about to pounce on her prey.

“What do you want from me then?”

“Only a fair price in exchange for your little miracle.”

Always By Your Side  - Fic Guide

Fic guide for my newest fic which started uploading a few days ago and will have weekly updates every Saturday.

The most common question I get on any fic where there's a coming of age element is how old are they in any given chapter as it's easy to lose track. So even though it's a year each chapter, I thought I'd make this to help!

Chapter 19 onwards is pretty much a separate arc so that's why I just did the 19 chapter guide!

Also... for some reason Canva refuses to export in the same font I was working in which means of course the sizes are messed up and... I need to stop using canva. It's easy but recently it's just not working...

Regardless of formatting, I hope this helps and can't wait for you all to see the adventures these two get into!

Okay, I wrangled the ending finally. Well, actually, I rewrote part of the beginning and then the ending worked better.

shadows and steel, my Maiko arranged marriage au because it was extremely self-indulgent and yet people really seemed to like it???

Blossoming Jealousy, a Tangled fic about Rapunzel's learning to get over her jealousy over Eugene's close friendship with Lance. Honestly this one's pretty self-indulgent too but I had a lot of fun picking apart how Rapunzel's trauma would influence her relationships and giving my boy Lance some page time. :)

Wake Me Up, or the evolution of Dolls waking up Wynonna. Even though I stopped watching Wynnona Earp (for obvious reasons), Wyndolls was such a special pairing to see onscreen and I enjoyed writing something warm and comforting for them before it all went to pieces in the show.

Take It Out On Me, a super angsty fic for Wyallie from The Fosters. A very different vibe than my usual schtick, and therefore a fun experiment. There's almost no fic for them in general so even though very few people have read it, I am happy that I could contribute to the fandom for the small pool of shippers.

bruise belies the break, my ongoing fic centering on Suki's downward spiral (and eventual healing) after the war. I know I haven't updated in a looooong time but this fic still means a lot to me and every smidgeon of encouragement I get from people who like it makes my day.
