Rhubarb and candied ginger tea bread- utilizing a windfall of produce from a coworker in the best way possible. Served with a mug of delicate Chinese green tea for a sweet, summery afternoon treat. #teatime #teabread #rhubarb #roastedrhubarb #cupandsaucer #vintage #cakeplate #teacup #greentea #looseleaf #looseleaftea #afternoontea #cottagecore #cottageinspo #teatimemagfeed #homebaking #bake #baker #homemade (at Bellingham, Washington) https://www.instagram.com/p/BztJTEpASQk/?igshid=1rlbjzuru746e

If you listen to the news on tv or social media you can’t help but notice how much emphasis there has been on the need for social justice. To me that’s a good thing. I’ve been reading about civic and political leaders who have been instrumental in moving social justice forward in their lifetimes and realized that there also have been writers who deserve credit. Many of them have made a real difference. So today I want to cheer Charles Dickens, who spoke to the unfairness between the haves and have-nots, who portrayed how people can speak in self righteous moral tones about good values and yet be mean-spirited and behave like brutes. So, I raise my teacup to dear Mr. Dickens. And if you join me and wish to accompany your tea (or coffee) with a bit of some delicious zucchini bread, the recipe is in the profile and on my blog. #teabread #quickbread #zucchinibread #charlesdickens #socialjustice https://www.instagram.com/p/CCBsCeJlIto/?igshid=qfvxy7rvtk7s
