thought a lot about elementary school teacher Buck bc of @bucksbeagle I think he's ms frizzling it up with thematic sweaters and cardigans. I think he scours second hand shops for them but also learns to crochet or knit and makes some of his own to keep his hands busy. either he meets Eddie bc there's a fire at the school or on parent career day or on a fire safety visiting presentation but there are... sparks... or he gets the Ana Flores former teacher to date experience.

Buck is a science teacher. He runs an after school club/tutoring combo thing to show students practical applications of the things they're learning. One such unit is the physics of flight.

Enter pilot Tommy Kinard, who hates public speaking but was voluntold to help out by his boss.

Damn you Chemmy! You caught me in my weak spot! Science, my beloved! As mentioned, I am Canadian and know very little about how the US school system works, so take this with a willing suspension of disbelief.

1) Buck teaches science at a public high school. He tries to give each lesson with a practical component because he always learned better when he could find real world applications for the knowledge.

2) Practical activities cost money, so he has a social media account where he tests recipes and talks science. He uses the money he makes from that to do cool things with the kids. He calls it Baking with Buck.

3) He's setting up something for a physics unit - he wants to cover aerodynamics and the physics of flight. He's been trying for years fo get someone to talk about it. He's been reaching out to Harbor, Coast Guard, hobby fliers, but hes never had much luck until this year.

4) Tommy just happens to be grounded on account of misappropriation of municipal equipment (reason TBD). As additional punishment, chief Simpson volunteers Tommy to help with Buck's presentations. A whole day talking to kids about flight across Buck's various classes. He doesn't know that Buck is planning on a lot more interactive activities. When he talks to Evan Buckley on the phone, he's surprised by how insightful the man is, and how genuinely excited he is by the topic. Tommy is actually somewhat looking forward to the event.

5) Tommy walks into the school the day off and realizes that Evan Buckley is actually Buck the Baker on Instagram, and Tommy has been low-key lusting after for a few years. He nearly swallowed his tongue.

Summary:

A month ago, Eddie had faced a server shoulder injury from his time in the ring which leads to him being pushed to the sidelines for the 118 - largest underground MMA fighting club. Due to his layoff, he needs a back-up plan and fast.

In comes Maddie Buckley, new arriving wannabe MMA fighter who needs a coach and one who can lead her to her first big win. Along with her is her over protective baby brother who isn't sure if he can trust the brooding man who easily seems to insert himself into the Buckley's lives.

Teacher buck is like if in s2 when eddie had to bring shannon (dont ask why my phone corrected to sharon idk) to the school and he met on of the teachers when they visit and its buck. Theres more but thats the basics, just p simple and straightforward angst to follow.
