I can’t believe there are people who genuinely think TELLA was the one in the wrong for rejecting Jacks in finale. Like did we read the same series?

1) Jacks never actually loved Tella. This wasn’t something that was revealed in ouabh, this was established information we were given in DURING finale. Tella was very well aware that Jacks didn’t love her, he was unhealthily obsessed with her. It was mentioned time and time again that if an immortal was to ever feel love, they’d turn back human. And Jacks wasn’t human at any point in finale. It’s unfair to expect her to choose him when he clearly never loved her.

2) he was HORRIBLE to her??? Like no actually that man was batshit insane, he gave her an entire heart attack, literally married her without her consent, betrayed her multiple times (although the word ‘betrayed’ would imply that she trusted him in the first place, and she was second-guessing him the entire time she knew him so) and was overall just so terrible to her. And she’s the one in the wrong for not choosing him? Bffr

And this is coming from someone who prefers Jacks over Tella character wise btw. People like to act as if Jacks was just some poor baby desperate for love, like he was a grown ass man?? He knew damn well what he was doing

I understand that jacks had his reasons for doing what he did in finale/legendary, but reasons ≠ excuses, it is in no way fair for Tella to forgive or accept Jacks just because he had a sad backstory. Tella wasn’t a perfect person either, far from it really, but can we all be so fr right now 😭😭

When reading Caraval, I hated tellajacks, and I didn't like tellalegend. I couldn't care less about the love triangle. I wished Tella remained single and went to an adventure. (tellalegend is debatable, I liked it sometimes)

Just thinking about how every time Jacks’ heartbeat was mentioned in Caraval with Tella, it was always “slower than a normal heartbeat” or “sluggish”, but whenever it’s mentioned in Ballad with Evangeline (which is CONSTANTLY), it’s always racing or pounding.
