I still remember seeing some opinions that Urie was such a strong and compelling character that he could’ve lead a story of his own as the main protagonist. I agree, we’ll probably never get it since tg;re ended years ago now and Ishida has rightfully moved on but looking back on him again makes me remember that he was truly leading a lot of :Re already. Ugh, I just love him so much.

Tokyo Ghoul ;Re alternate Storyline/Ending (Warning: Not Kaneki Friendly)

- Touka and Amon develop a close friendship throughout ;Re

- Nishiki develops feelings for Touka and is secretly jealous of Kaneki but keeps it to himself because he wants her to be happy

- Amon and Akira get married and have a kid

- Kaneki decides that his life is so much of a tragedy that he deserves something nice, and that thing will be Touka so in a paranoid rage he kills Yoriko and Yomo to have her to himself.

- He turns into that giant kagune thing and in a super paranoid rage attacks Tokyo and tries to kill all within it, the CCG and ghouls fight back against him. In this rage Akira, Seidou, Irimi, Koma are killed by him.

- Hide makes a hard choice and takes a stand to his friend and kills him to save Tokyo

- Ayahina remains

- Shinohara reawakens, reunites with Suzuya and his family

- A bittersweet ending, the tragedy is that Hide had to kill his friend, Kaneki turned evil and died, the deaths, the kids being left without specific parents,

- The happy side is that Touka ends up with Nishiki and they raise Ichika together and their child is close with Amon's child, the friendship between the two families is very strong and Suzuya and Shinohara’s family get to be reunited with him
