The New Teen Titans as they appeared in an anti-drug public service announcement in 1983. The PSA was sponsored by Keebler, the cookie company, and part of Reagan's "Just Say No To Drugs" campaign.

The PSA was produced by Hanna-Barbera, which planned to use this team of Titans in their own animated series set in the Super Friends universe. Unfortunately, that series never manifested. Cyborg, however, joined the cast of Super Friends in its last season in 1985.

Robin was not used in the PSA because he was already licensed by Nabisco. Additionally, H-B didn't want to use Robin in The New Teen Titans because he was an original member of the Super Friends.

Therefore, a new character, The Protector, was created to take Robin's place on the team. He also appeared, with the rest of the Titans, in an anti-drug comic book that was (again) sponsored by Keebler and given away to kids at school. The comic was written and drawn by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, the creators of the team who were also the creative team on their regular DC comic book.

Someone left a bookmark summarizing pretty factually the events of my fanfic and it's so sweet and accurate but also I'm crying, "he can't keep kidnapping the kids Bruce picks up there's no space" has to be the funniest way of wording it ever like yeah Jason's villainous/heroic plan was defeated by Bruce's chronic tendency to hoard children that's it that's the plot

it’s got one of the best representations of trauma and how it affects interpersonal relationships in the fandom

It will punch you in the heart, just a little bit (n maybe more) but it’s absolutely worth it and I once again /highly/ recommend reading it!
