Take time to work on your mental health 💆🏾♂️ just as much as you are working on your physical health💪🏾 and attending church ⛪️ Regardless of what you’ve been taught or raised to believe...church or meditation should not take the place of therapy or counseling. Therapy or counseling has had such a negative connotation over the years do to the media portraying it as something that celebrities or famous athletes go to when they are going through “bad” situations or rehab in life. Although therapy, counseling and A LOT of prayer 🙏🏾 may be needed in these situations, if they were receiving consistent counseling or therapy practices before these catastrophes occurred, maybe they wouldn’t be caught in the media with the negative stigma of showing them needing therapy now 🤦🏾♂️ Therapy and Counsel should be a lifestyle centered around you taking time to talk to a unbiased, certified stranger/coach to help walk with you through life by allowing you to work on expressing yourself through life’s hurdles and triumphs. My therapist is more of a life coach with a clinical therapy license...she coached me and guided me so I can find the best and most efficient way to elevate and soar ✈️ Many people may sit and wonder why there life hasn’t or isn’t turning out as they want. I’d venture to question them by asking 1) Do you have a mentor or coach? 2) Do you have a therapist or counselor? 3) Who can you trust in your inner circle to be completely vulnerable with without feeling that you need to filter your words? If you can’t answer all 3 questions completely, then this may be your answer to a lack of elevation right there.
