As the Black community deals with the ongoing pain of racism, as well as the disproportionate impacts of COVID-19, providing mental health support and resources becomes imperative. Using art to share resources has always been the mission of @darknessrisingproject, and we’re so grateful to launch our 2020/21 Music & Mental Health Campaign with Brand New Day! Spending time outdoors and moving your body is a great way to release endorphins, which helps to relieve stress. This is in no way a “quick fix” for depression and other mental health conditions, but this is a recommended, free tool which may offer some relief. We offer community-specific resources for mental wellness.
