We don't chat much anymore. Occasional small talk and casual updates, all that's left. Sometimes you bring old memories up. A photo, an inside joke, a simple "how are things". As if you still wanted to keep me close but not close enough for me to become something more than just a friend. Even though we both feel I've never been just a friend to you.

Passing each other, we argue (go away) We've been labeling since birth What we wear (position, career, fashion, & skin) We're judged and suffer (no way) and continue to suffer Meaningless decisions are made, it's gripping

Someone said, "That girl has a bad personality" Those simple words created an imaginary image You act like you understand this new-age thinking If you set worthiness, it would be a lost age Kick and fight, hold back your emotions like you're caged Is she really that bad of a person? Look again without bias in your eyes (don't stop, believe in yourself) (with my own eyes) (just looking for myself)
