IK everyone has their own personal HCs about the 3 year gap but here’s mine.

to me- I think Bulma and Yamcha broke it off mutually. She’s getting older and wants something more serious that he’s not ready to give and that’s ok, plus there’s more important things to worry about like the fate of the world. Then Vegeta starts hanging around and she’s taking a little more notice like “ok he’s kinda cute”. She’s not taking BC anymore cause why bother.

So to her Vegeta is a rebound that sticks around (because where else can he go?). When she finds out she’s pregnant she’s like “well it’s not how I hoped but I’m getting older, I want kids, and this one will clearly be strong so I’m keeping it.” And at that point Vegeta does not care at all. He’s way too busy focusing on Goku and the androids, so he just keeps hanging out and training, until he can’t bear to be around the two of them anymore because he can tell he’ll eventually get attached. So he fucks off somewhere else to train.

and that where we catch up with them after.

He does not care about her or Trunks AT ALL initially, if he does he only sees those feelings as something that could possibly make him weaker so he’s desperately trying to ignore it.

To me at least. Thats what I think.

Bulma Briefs doesn’t put a lot of weight on virginity. She’s brilliant, both socially and intellectually. And, on top of that, she’s shamelessly beautiful. Though her flirting is as equally shameless, she’s never managed to commit to the act of sex.
