Tim Nash's binder of people he saved Bobby Nash's book of people he killed
Katherine Vance.
bobby and eddie's fathers both getting angry at them for burning food– because they were being neglected, and had made it for someone else, no less (bobby's dad / eddie's sisters)– is my worst favorite parallel, actually. and the fact that bobby grew up to be a borderline professional chef and eddie is notoriously stated to be a bad cook tells you everything you need to know about bobby's rumination and eddie's avoidance mechanisms.
Bobby sees himself in Buck, Bobby sees his kids in Buck.
Both true.
But now we know Bobby also saw his own father in S1 Buck - the charismatic daredevil who finds it easy to be liked, but hard to be loved. But this time Bobby actually could save someone with the right recipes - breakfast, lasagne, chilli, but more importantly the time spent together making them.
Whatever path Buck ends up on, it won't be the same one Tim went down
"I don't want them following in your footsteps. First to the bottle, then to an early grave!"
I feel depressed about it.
