I headcanon that Set actually really likes Zia because she hosted Nepthys and Ra (his two favorite Gods). Like to the point it makes her uncomfortable. Not in a creepy way to be clear but in a "I hate you and everything you stand for but you have been unfailingly helpful and polite to me so I'm not sure you understand that I hate you and I can't punch you" way.
a/n: Alright here it is everyone! I’m going to be writing this with the Riordanverse in mind (Or I’m really trying to at least) and this will be the point of view that while the gods do not themselves have direct offspring with mortals, they do inhabit people as hosts to interact with mortals and some of their godly essence is transferred to the mortal, and what if the original blood of pharaohs operated more like they are the representation of their godly parent.
Can be interpreted as a direct demigod offspring of the Egyptian god, bloodline of or using the power of the gods with the Path of the Gods that the individual is hosting.
It's been a while since I’ve researched Egyptian mythology in great details and depth, so don’t take this as an actual presentation of Ancient Egypt and its culture and mythology. I know there are just a handful of Egyptian demigods mythological and I’m taking some liberty with it.
Also forewarning, it has been years since I’ve read the Kane Chronicles and I haven’t been able to re-read it because I realized my collection of the books are either in deep storage somewhere or were lost in the house fire years ago. If I’m mis-remembering details or something, I’m sorry and consider them as very headcanons or written with creative liberty.
There won’t be any story paragraphs like I usually do at the end because I don’t know how to write it also my brain is fried from doing this.

Amos turned toward Carter and Set made himself known, much to Sadie's displeasure. He appeared as a ghostly overlay just offset from her uncle, and for a moment the two of them looked sort of like one of those magic-eye puzzles that always gave her headaches. Thankfully, Set leaned away from Amos toward Carter, making them easier to distinguish.
"If the House of Life wants to protect Ma'at, O Pharaoh-" The way Set said it wasn't mocking, exactly, but it was a little too casual for Carter's title, "-then you've got to have eyes everywhere, especially in places where Chaos is likely to start stirring."
Sadie couldn't help herself. "Like around you, Set?"
She'd meant it as a jab, but he turned his gaze to her and shot her a relaxed grin. "Exactly like around me."

AMOS KANE- DATING HEADCANNONS. (Fem.Magician reader!)
You two met at a museum. You were just looking at some shabti and you were cooing over how cute they looked. Amos saddles up to you casually, he'd been eyeing you since he heard you cooing at the lil guys.
"You know, they say these li'l guys could transform with a magic word. Wonder what brings these alive".
You look up/down at him in surpirse. You recognize him as part of the Kane family. You smiled, and showed him your amulet (up to you what that looks like) and he recognizes it.
He tips his hat at you and you nodd in acknowledgement. Both of you decide to take a tour together. He offers you his arm,like a gentleman.
Thats how it started.
You two were,and remain,whipped as whipped cream for eachother. The honeymoon phase never ended.
He still offers you his arm,at any point. You help him tie his tie, hes flirting the whole time,and youre flirting back (might pull him from his tie for a kiss!!!). He puts a hand on the small of your back (or your back) to help you navigate big crowds. You stand beside him with pride,and both of you gush about the other to anyone who will (or wont) listen.
Petnames galore! "Darl',sweetheart,darlin',my beloved,my queen/king/majesty/liege,my heart,my muse,my melody,hon,'sug" "big guy,handsome,my king/pharaoh (<- he gets so flustered) my melody,my musician,my artist".
Julius never hears the end of it. And hes very happy for his brother.
Sadie and Carter adore you. You match Amos' quick witt in your own way,make them laugh, take good care of both of them. (if you cook or bake, or do anything artistic or make stuff for them,they cherish it forever).
They see you in action with your magic or your Path Of The Gods (My nerd ass likes Toth, and i like Set too. hes fun). You teach them to make shabti,and master their magic and vessel powers.
They fall asleep on you and you might start/will start sobbing and Amos will take a pic while sobbing himself lmao.
Khufu and Philipp adore you. You spoil them rotten and Amos has to deal with the consequences (hes happy you like his pets)
Sett flirts with you to get under Amos' skin but hes also his wingman.
Jazz bar dates, sometimes u watch shows,sometimes you watch Amos jamm out on stage.
When he becomes chief lector, you cheer so hard for him and you are his right hand and number one fan. He still remains that gentleman you fell in love with.
You two still watch and go to basketball games. Barrack for the Lakers,obviously
you wear matching dresses/suits with him. He'll do you hair. (french braid, or black hairstyles if you have black heritage!. Will learn any hairstyles from your culture)
If you're white, he'll be happy either way with you! (in my og headcannons i said he liked latinas. But dont take it as a rule!). He'll meet your family and try his best to get along with them,your family or friends will love you. If you speak another language (german,swedish,spanish,portuguese,etc) he'll learn it for you!.
If you're black, you can bond over your shared culture, upbringing and black culture. Cook outs,black artists and history,Black jazz like Ella Fritzgerald,Louis Armstrong,Nina Simone,etc. Cook your favorite foods,hair wash/maintenance day!!
If youre latina (like me!) he'll learn your language, cook your favorite meals, dance with you, probably win your family over. He's gonna play Elvis Crespo or Luis Miguel for your (probably female) family member and win her over. He's charming like that.
