So! My thoughts on the voices...
For the most part, I think they're pretty solid! Crowley has the inflections we all expect him to have; Riddle sounds a little British, so I guess that's a win; Ace, Deuce, Cater, and Yuuken sound like themselves for the most part.
HOWEVER! I do take issue with Grim and Trey voices.
Grim sounds cute, but it's a little too cutesy for someone whose Japanese voice is more on the gravely side, similar to an actual cat. He sounds like Happy from Fairytail. Maybe I'll get used to it over time, but for now, I really wish they stuck closer to his original voice.
As for Trey, it completely caught me just how soft and high high his voice is. I figured his voice would be slightly deeper; now he sounds like how I expected Cater's voice to be. I'm positive I'll get used to it faster than Grim's, though.
Overall, the animation looks phenomenal! For how complex the designs are, the characters aren't as stiff as you'd think they'd be. The colors are vibrant and completely suck you into this new, mystical world Yuu's found himself in.
Of course, it's Disney, so we'd naturally expect it to be top-tier, but given their last few projects, I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high.
My greatest hope is that the dub doesn't cut out or dumb down story elements like they have in the game for English players. The exact reasons I've watched the cutscenes translated is because (A. The game had no English settings the first few years, so it's become tradition to watch them translated); and (B. I heard how they've taken out essential story or re-wrote what the characters were saying entirely for censorship or some other unexplainable reason!
For the love of the Seven! Please do not do this to English players, Disney! It's bad enough that some new players don't fully understand the characters because of the rewrites in the game, DON'T do it for the anime. Please!
Other than that, this trailer looks amazing, and I'm excited to give this a watch when it inevitably comes to YouTube for those of us who don't have Disney +.
I had been waiting for this day for so long, yet when it's finally near...
I’m genuinely terrified for tomorrow...
alright folks the pjo s2 trailer dropped twenty minuets ago let’s see the fan edits
Hello!! I’m working as a background artist for an upcoming YT animated series called “The Seventh Sea”. The pilot is still is production but the teaser trailer is premiering on 10/22 on YT. The team would appreciate it if anyone reading this will go watch it when it premieres!!
The story: The first episode that is currently being created follows the story of a young man, Zim. He travels the oceans of the world accepting contracts on peoples heads. Zim meets Percy and Cole, two brothers who are in the same line of work, and the three decide to take on a very high rewarding and suspicious contract together. The episode simultanueosly flashes back to Zim's past, giving a glimpse into some of his most important experiences growing up, while following the start of his new venture.
The series also has a discord, which can be found on the YouTube page, we are always looking for more members!
To anyone who read through everything, the team and I have been putting our best foot forward into this project so I hope you’ll support it!! Also please spread the word!!!
Do You Copy? Season Two trailer one is out now!
