Acton Train Depot mega image dumpppp, I went here last Saturday and it is genuinely one of the coolest places I've ever been to. When this opens up again I will gladly go again, for now here's the entrance!

Bunch of station stuff they used to have and a bunch of 3D models too (note the model for the Farringdon Crossrail station at the end which only ended up happening like 30 years later as the Elizabeth line lmao)

Then we had a whole section dedicated to signage from the entire network, old and new. This also includes roundels for stations that no longer exist! (Essex Road is now part of the Northern City Line for National Rail, Shoreditch was demolished and now the nearby Windrush line Shoreditch High Street replaced it, and Ongar and North Weald are only heritage stations now)

Now it's the trainssss, I went overboard with this I'm so sorry, but they got stocks from the early 1900s to the latest that was withdrawn which I believe was the D78 stock in 2017

And finally, the buses which were in a separate section although not as extensive as the trains, they were also cool! It's also interesting to see how routes have changed over the years, some follow a similar route to today but others were dramatically different, either with a completely different route, cut down the length or increased it. The 37 used to go from Hounslow to Peckham and now it's split between 37, 337 and H37 because of how excessively long it was lmao

Ok that's all I think, I love this place a lot, I can geek out about it forever but anyway yea I like trains and buses and cool london transport history and stuff
