I stuck to the traditional Italian spellings. I have an Italian background and i studied it in school. Generally for those who don’t know “o” is masculine and “a” Is feminine hence Leonard(o) becomes Leonard(a). Raphael was a little bit harder because it ends in L so I just found the close thing to a feminine name. Same thing for Leo as with Donnie. Now with Mikey, my sister is named Michaela and my grandfather is named Michaelangelo and he was named after her but obviously coz she a girl and my family loves gender stereotypes she got the female version.

Future TMNT iteration where Splinter is like “shit I don’t know turtle anatomy” and DOESN’T assign them all male but raises them gender neutral until they figure themselves out. Like biology be damned they are what they are.
Like totes fine if they all end up being guys but maybe not all genetically speaking?
Then the show has like major themes of teens figuring out who they are and exploring their genders and preferred gender expressions.
Would totally get torn apart for being “woke” and shit but it would be sooooo influential and help kids accept others and themselves!

Can someone please tell me what the head cannon femme!leo or transfemme!leo is all about. I’m not against it. Love me some queer/trans pride but I personally don’t see it. I’d love to hear some other peoples thoughts on it because I don’t really have a fully fleshed out idea of where it came from and the basis behind it.
